Mission Statement
The Story
SEX, BASEBALL, & ALL PUSSIBILITIES is a comedic short film about friendship, experimentation, and reclaiming one’s sexuality. This coming-of-age story embraces sex while highlighting the universal experience of women being pushed to question their role in modern love with others and themselves.
After a year of celibacy, Cathy trusts Jazelle to sexually prepare her for her Friday night D(ate) back in the game. As Jazelle trains Cathy through the steps of first, second, and third base, Cathy must navigate her past fears with love and inexperience with sex while embracing a side of herself she didn't know existed.
REFERENCES: Joyride, Key & Peele, Booksmart, No Hard Feelings

We want to showcase two Asian females who are not your stereotypical “sexy” leading gals, but hold individuality in their unhinged friendship, humor, and outlook on life. We rarely see absurd and balls-to-the-wall short-form comedy that spotlight a sexually-liberated and confidently-free Asian lead alongside ANOTHER Asian lead who is the absolute opposite.
While many stories today tell tales of young horniness and sex, we want to create a world and resolution where you don’t have to go “all-the-way.” Discovering your sexual comfortability is a total process, and for many young adults, this means taking control of where the end of a date leads or knowing when to say no. The game of modern love is ever-changing, and we hope this story opens new viewpoints in the way we dictate first dates, hoe-phases, break-ups, and everything in-between.

Sex is never linear | Sex, Baseball, & All Pussibilties questions the order/guideline of getting to third base and how one’s sex life should be. There seems to be this traditional expectation in how one goes on a date and where that may lead next. What’s your body count? Have you ever had an orgasm? No, really, have you. How many relationships have you been in? It can become pressuring to do it “right,” when really, this can differ for everyone. And that’s absolutely okay.
Navigating one’s place in modern love and sex | Today’s dating apps, reality shows about love, and online media have really shaped the way we navigate our place within all of it. It’s scary real estate, modern love. And the way it’s transformed today, we’ve become quick to swipe on potential life partners and race to get physical, even when we are not ready. This is such a universal experience in balancing today's ideals of love while curating our own.
We are never just one thing | Our protagonist goes through inner conflict and fear of being labeled as one thing. All her life, she’s been labeled with unwarranted life superlatives of cute, booksmart, and happy-go-lucky -- never sexy, risky, or anything outside that boundary. She’s left to learn that qualities within us like cute or sexy can coexist.
To cover the costs of different aspects of production — like paying the crew, equipment, production design, securing locations (like a good ol’ baseball field) — we need your help! Every dollar will go towards this short and supporting young filmmakers. With your donations, we will finally be able to bring this project to fruition!
