The Story

My closest friends are, unequivocally, the people who keep me going on a day to day basis; the ones who know the most intimate things about me; the ones who sit with me when I'm in dark places; and the ones who celebrate with me when I'm full of joy. My hope is that this film expresses that love and gives some comfort to anyone who has gone through a similar loss to May's.

May, a woman grieving the loss of her best friend, agrees to go on a weekend trip with her partner, Russell. As Russell tries to lure May back into the present moment and away from her memories, May feels drawn to the mysterious AirBnB host, Carson, who seems to understand her grief better than anyone. Faced with the opportunity to travel back in time in a shed on the property, how much will May risk to change the past?

This film looks at the deep bonds of female friendship, as well as grief, through a slightly spooky, sci-fi lens. The tone is mysterious with a grounded, character-driven calm.

We are filming at a beautiful farm in southern Vermont. The property is surrounded by a lush forest and includes rolling hills, a brook, a renovated red barn, and - you better believe it - a shed (with a chicken coop!). I have been visiting this farm since I was a kid and it is very near and dear to my heart.

To make this movie, I have, of course, surrounded myself with friends! I don't think this story could be told in any other way and the fact that everyone involved is insanely talented, incredibly hard-working, and game to jump into the crazy world of indie film-making with all its challenges, ups, downs, sacrifices, risks...well, I am extremely grateful. Check out the Team tab for more details!

Beyond supporting our current team, your donations will help pay for equipment, even more amazing and talented craftspeople and artists, as well as housing and travel costs; they will feed us, light us, and record us. We will also use the money we raise for post production, which includes editing, coloring, sound mixing, and submitting to festivals all over the world (think big!). She was selected for the ABC Diversity Showcase in NY and the NBC Diversity Showcase in LA.
