The Story
SHEVOLUTION is a dramatic film based on a real life journey of a woman entangled in an abusive relationship with a husband who struggles with bipolar disorder.
Speaking up about domestic violence and mental illness through a film will empower the lives of survivors. I say this because being a domestic violence survivor myself, I find healing both in sharing my story and in hearing other survivors share theirs. As human beings, we can connect and even find love and compassion by seeing and listening to each other through a work of art such as a film like this.

Most of you guys know me as the Filipina-American comedy actress. But what many of you probably don’t know is that I’ve been writing dramatic plays and screenplays for as long as I’ve been doing the quirky cute girl routine and have a BFA in Film Studies from Loyola Marymount University. I'm an Actor-Writer-Producer who is passionate about creating art that advocate for social justice; which means that I typically write dramas with themes that aren't that comedic - themes like domestic violence and mental health... Not to say that there aren't funny moments in the film cuz there definitely are. Some comedic relief can always help even the most tragic of situations right?!

A film that gives voice to survivors of domestic abuse and mental illness isn't a film comprised of cheap thrills and quick laughs. It is a creative rallying cry against domestic violence that needs your financial support in order to get in front of people to bring forth awareness and possible solutions to these problems. Also, please know that your contribution is going directly to the creation of our film and it is TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
