The Story

Showtime

Mini Synopsis

Darius is a talented litefeet dancer earning money on NYC trains with his younger brother and hypeman Hakeem. When Darius is offered an opportunity of a lifetime to possibly dance around the world, he knows if he leaves, Hakeem will turn to a life of crime in the streets of Harlem.

Why Showtime?

Showtime will give viewers a closer look at what trials and tribulations NYC artists have to go through on a daily basis. There has not been a film about litefeet! This is an opportunity to introduce litefeet to the WORLD!

Why crowdfunding?

The Seed&Spark platform allows us to not only raise money but to build our audience as well. We hope to find people who are as excited about watching a socially-relevant film as we are.

Filmmaking is about creating art that speaks to the world we live in, and we’re hoping you’ll join us to help bring this story to life.

Where is the money going?

All contributions go to renting equipment, paying talent, and

With your help, we’ll make a beautiful, intense film that will open hearts and leave people thinking.

What does Showtime mean to me?

I grew up in Harlem, NY. and I got to see the impact litefeet had on my friend's lives. I saw how dancing slowed down the violence in inner-city communities. When litefeet began to fade many kids I know joined gangs and others continued to dance, transitioning into train dancers.
