The Story
After the biggest loser in school gets a boyfriend, Natasha and Zach set each other up on dates to prove to themselves that they are hot, desirable, and most of all, not losers.

Principal photography for the pilot episode of "sick of seventeen" will take place in Los Angeles, CA and it is scheduled to shoot in November 2023. Funding on this Seed & Spark will cover the cost of the series pilot, "sick of bad options." Once completed, we will begin work on the rest of the series that explores Zach and Natasha's toxic-but-in-a-cute-way friendship as they work through the endless roadblocks that high school provides. Future episodes promise a look at theater kid sleepovers, a possibly gay lacrosse player, third-wheel friendship drama, and maybe even two straight girls kissing.
Zach and Natasha (co-writers) are eager to bring these characters to life as they reimagine their high school memories as if they were best friends. Some parts are fictionalized while others are true (Zach don't worry, you'll still be crowned prom king as you were in real life, I know how much this superficial popularity contest means to you). <3
As to why we're making this now? After leaving the rainbow sparkle-coated halls of Emerson, we've been flung into the painfully real world of adulthood, brimming with parking tickets, car payments, and the lie that is health insurance. And it ✨sucks.✨ We're making this project to channel creativity, take a step towards pursuing our career dreams, and do something on the weekends that isn't going to Trader Joe's. We need this.

We aim to raise our goal of $650 through a dedicated audience on Seed & Spark to cover the costs of filming and producing the pilot episode. We're taking the experience we've gained from our productions at Emerson College (long live "707: A Sitcom") and assembling a team of passionate, talented collaborators and actors in LA to bring this project to fruition.
Please follow our page and support our team by contributing directly, or sharing with your network. Funds will be used towards crafty for crew, equipment, post-production, and festival submissions. Sharing our campaign on your social media is as helpful as a donation. And doing BOTH goes a long way to helping bring 'sick of seventeen' to a laptop screen near you!
Thank you for considering our project and we hope you didn't peak in high school. (Even if you did, you should support our project.)
