The Story

The Story: Two best friends spiraling through a quarter-life crisis try to figure out what the hell they’re doing with their lives, one ridiculous side quest at a time.
Season 1 follows struggling actresses and besties Mila and Viv who live on opposite coasts. While Mila feels like she’s falling behind everyone around her in LA, Viv flies in front of New York to help her get back on track and the two embark on a series of insane side quests in search of life purpose- from shroom trips in the park to disastrous double dates. Will their friendship survive their bubbling insecurities? Season 1 is currently in post-production and will premiere in July 2026.
Season 2 heads to New York City, where the side quests continue and the roles reverse as Mila helps Viv get her life back on track. Season 2 production is set for July 2026, with the season releasing in August 2026. Future seasons will follow the girls on their journeys in new cities and side quests.

VIV: The reliable, emotionally supportive friend who seems like she has her life together, but is quietly unraveling with anxiety beneath it all.

MILA: A chaotic, insecure overthinker constantly comparing herself to everyone around her, often too caught up in her own life to notice anyone else's.

Comps: Broad City meets Girls with the friendship-driven chaos of One of Them Days. Blending sketch-comedy sensibilities with the realities of young adulthood, Side Quests finds humor in the comedic desperation of trying to survive when life refuses to go according to plan.

Budget Breakdown: Your support will help fund the production and post-production of Seasons 1 and 2 of Side Quests, including locations, equipment, cast and crew compensation, and finishing costs.

Why Now? Side Quests speaks directly to a generation overwhelmed by comparison. For the first time in history, we're exposed to a curated highlight reel of our peers' lives every day! Endless updates about engagements, promotions, babies, etc. make it easy to feel like everyone else is moving forward while you're standing still. Side Quests exposes the messy reality behind the highlight reel, while reminding us that nobody actually has it all figured out.
