Director's Quotes:

Joe Laporte (Co-Director)
"Sins Unveiled shows how evil a small town can be"

David Liehn (Co-Director)

"Sins Unveiled exposes the evils of hate & prejudice and the deadly consequences that stem from the fear of the unknown."

Henry encounters small town troubles when he returns home from the city for the holidays. Relationships between himself, his brother Benjamin, and two childhood friends are put to the test when Henry receives a letter from Johnny, an old high school friend. The letter, inviting him and Benjamin to a pre-wedding party for Johnny and his male fiancé, sets Benjamin and the childhood friends off because of their ignorance towards homosexuality.

Henry is quickly reminded of how small minded his hometown friends and family are. After failing to convince those closest to him that diversity is not a threat, he goes on to support Johnny on his own. The celebration is full of love and acceptance from all those in attendance.

However, the beautiful moment comes to a devastating halt when uninvited guests crash the party in a very unwelcoming way. When the blinding darkness of hatred overcomes the party, the lives of all those in attendance will be forever changed.

"Sins Unveiled" will be truly horrifying. Similar to "Get Out” - where outsiders in a small town find themselves in imminent danger for their questionable views. "Sins Unveiled" brutally shows that no one is safe from the choices they make in life and love. Not even the sanctity of marriage is sacred in this harsh world. "Sins Unveiled" documents the primal fear that some small towns are resistant to change; often resorting to hate and violence as a way to deal with outsiders.

In "Sins Unveiled" we construct a world where small-town culture and small minds are still very much a reality. There is no acceptance for opposing beliefs or different views. Outsiders continue to be persecuted for not conforming to their environment. It takes a horrific act of violence for the townspeople to realize their wrongs, but by then it is too late. Aesthetically, the film will have a yellow hue and tonality. It will be shot in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio using spherical lenses to set a specific look and feel for the film.

Sins Unveiled has an estimated two-night shooting schedule and is seeking to raise  $15,000 for production, but with Seed&Spark we are greenlit when we reach 80%!

Although the script is 18 pages, we plan to bring high production value to the project. In order to accomplish this, there will have to be intense pre-production as well as post-production.

Along with a very notable cast, we have assembled an experienced crew that is diverse, with women and people of color in most key positions.  Funds that we raise will support all of our departments, from casting, to catering, to camera package rental.  We are shooting on location with some special effects and visual effects which will be a significant portion of our budget.

Most of our crew and cast are willing to work for lower rates, necessary due to our independent budget. Many of our crew members will be wearing a number of different hats...  In short, we have assembled an incredible, passionate crew that will work hard to create a thriller with a message.

We invite to you join a night that you will never forget. It's sure to be thrilling and awakening!
