The Story
Nancy's life plunges into madness after her beloved Cat (Charlie) receives
a mysterious diagnosis while at the same time Nancy no longer has access
to her medications. Is Nancy becoming one of those crazy cat ladies?
Or is something much more sinister happening?
Sorry, My Cat is Sick is a highly stylized, Camp Horror-Comedy told through practical effects, stunning visuals, and vintage aesthetics.
Inspiration
Inspired by outside-the-box folkloric horror films like Rosemary’s Baby, The Love Witch, and Little Shop of Horrors
Rosemary's Baby (1968)
The Love Witch (2016)
Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Behind the whiskers
Last Thanksgiving writer Melinda-Catherine’s cat, Boris Karloff, passed away after being fatally diagnosed with cancer. Throughout the whole ordeal, writing this story became a vital outlet to channel and express herself alongside her grief. Our pets are so special to all of us, and at some point we have all been in Melinda’s shoes.
'Sorry, My Cat Is Sick' at its core is a story of
Love, Loss and Legislation that we at
Babes Production hope to bring to life with your help!
Thank you for your contribution.
This film is dedicated to the loving memory of Boris Karloff.
