              Why this Story?

Welcome, welcome!

Why? Well for starters, we'd consider ourselves lucky to get the opportunity to adapt ANY Stephen King story, but...

"All That You Love Will Be Carried Away" is a story we hold very near and dear to our hearts. Like a most of you, we work dayjobs. And because of that, we have to pursue our art in the after hours of earning a living.

Some people in our position never find time to pursue their art, and then, some find it, just in the nick of time...

This is the story of Alfred Zimmer in "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away."

We can already relate to Alfred.

Our team/Ka-Tet - consists of 4 talented Stephen King fans/indie horror filmmakers. Josh, Sam, Mark, Bolen, plus our Lead Actor, the great John Ennis!

Bolen met Josh, Mark, and Sam on the set of Julia Marchese's Stephen King adaptation: "I Know What You Need", which shot in Maine, at the University of Maine, in the same dorms Stephen King stayed in! (Julia actually stayed in Stephen King's old dormroom!) - Our newly formed quartet (or rather, Ka-Tet!) quickly began working on building  Stephen King's: "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away".

Bolen Miller - independent director out of Memphis, TN, originally from Portland Oregon. Bolen is a constant reader and Stephen King/horror obsessive. He recently directed an adaptation of Stephen King's: "Gray Matter", and Produced an adaptation of Stephen King's: "I know what you need" directed by Julia Marchese. Bolen is a big fan of practical special effects, and all things Stephen King.

Josh Leonard - from Worcester, MA, is an award-winning editor and director, known for The Cyborg (2017), Special (2020) and The Lost and Found (2005). Josh is a creative genius and his films are the proof! He's a great producer, but he's also good with practical effects and even has his own recipe for fake blood! (don't ask, it's a trade secret) On top of all that Josh is a masterful editor and it's where his creative flair really shines... (like The Shinning!)

Mark Pauley - a passionate film maker. After graduating from the Ohio Media School in late 2017, Mark quickly went to work for the school, and his teachers, on off-campus projects. In 2019 Mark started working at the MMN studios for the Town of Concord. He also produces indie films, assists churches with live streaming and produces large multi-camera live events. In 2020 he was nominated for an Emmy for "You raise me up" as the Senior Videographer. A music video produced during the pandemic for the Concord-Carlisle High School. Mark, as you can see, has a pretty cool dog as well.

Sam Krueger - a cinematographer and editor, known for Little Women (2019), Knives Out (2019) and Orchard House: Home of Little Women (2018). Sam also worked on the new reboot of "SALEM'S LOT"!! Sam is a "Sam" of all trades when it comes to independent film. Not only is he a masterful Cinematographer and a creative genius with editing and Sound, he also won an Emmy for Documentary Producing! Sam has a great eye and never seems to run of of ideas or steam.

...And then there is our Lead Actor, the great John Ennis!

John Ennis - born in Boston, Massachusetts, a legendary actor and producer, known for: Mr. Show on HBO, Twin Peaks:The Return, David Fincher's Zodiac, Better Call Saul, Murderville, Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny, Walk Hard, etcetera, too many to name! John is one of the top acting coaches in Los Angeles, he runs an acting Theater in Hollywood called The YARD and can be found there working with students everyday. He is generous with his time and makes room for everyone at his acting theater.

How far along is the movie?

"All That You Love Will Be Carried Away"  has been shot, edited and is almost complete. At this point, we still need financing for festival submissions, travel and lodging, plus a professional Sound and Color mix.

Whether it plays at the Theater, on a projector, television, laptop, ipad, or even the dreaded cell phone... This professional post work will make sure ALL THAT YOU LOVE WILL BE CARRIED AWAY plays with high quality sound & picture at any festival online or in person.

Once the sound and color mixes are finished. We're going to start submitting to film festivals! Our lead actor John ennis is well known around the film festival circuit, (Last year his projects got into over 41 festivals) we hope "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away" will get into just as many! Our plan is to submit to over 40 festivals.

-Once upon a time (last summer) We all helped Julia Marchese produce her Stephen King Adaptation: I Know What You Need. We shot in Maine, at the University of Maine in the dorms. The entire cast and crew stayed in the same dorms that Stephen King stayed in when he went there as a student. Julia even got to stay in his old room! (Yes we went to Stephen King's house and the Standpipe and we saw the original sewer drain and so much more!)

Bolen had already acquired the rights to "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away". After bonding over horror and filmmaking, we all becoming fast friends. Josh, Sam, Mark, John and Bolen all decided to shoot their Stephen King short ASAP, and started pre-production right after Julia's Stephen King adaptation wrapped.
