The Story

THE STORY: PERFECTLY BLEAK is the lobby of the post office at lunch hour, where and when we first meet "Stunna", an off-duty, on-call stripper, just starting her day. Stunna Money accompanies the paper trail made by the young stripper as she navigates the disorienting transition between night and day.
STATEMENT
This project is important to me as a girl who turned 18 at the height of the pandemic, when companies like OnlyFans were at an all-time high. I wanted to explore women's sexuality as something to broadcast, stream, and promote. The idea of a "Hot-Girl-On Call" as told through the framework of the digital age.

I am greatly inspired by films highlighting the seediness that begins after dark, under the disguise of a good time: After Hours and Showgirls meet The Bling Ring.
I will be collaborating with female filmmakers I met during film school. I've worked with them in the past and trust them to uphold the crafting of this project.
PRODUCTION AND STRETCH GOALS
Stunna Money is currently in development and will begin production at the end of 2024.
- If we raise $1,000 : Payment and meals for the cast and crew.
workplace environment and compensation are my top priorities with funding.
- If we raise $2,000: Equipment Rental
-- If we raise $3,000: Cover festival and promotional costs
AUDIENCE: This film is to be enjoyed by anyone in the digital age. The goal of the project of course is viewership! Women can especially feel seen by this piece. Following the film's completion, it will have a festival run until it finds its forever home (streaming/distribution).

About This Team
Maci Parker, Director
Maci Parker is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker interested in stories that, in her own words, are: “sexy, fun and, cool.” More articulately, Parker, uses her background as a woman born in the Hunan Province of China and raised in rural Georgia to create socially acute and challenging narratives with a distinct visual flare.
Hang Nguyen, Director of Photography
Born and raised in the coastal city of Ha Long in Viet Nam, later going to America to pursue filmmaking, Hang has been exposed to drastically different cultural and social dynamics. This nurtures an appreciation and empathy for the mundanity and the complexities of interpersonal living, which she seeks to bring to life through the most intimate and powerful of vehicles – words, sounds, and images. Stunna Money is Nguyen's second collaboration with Parker as cinemetographer.
Matthew Romanski, Producer
Matthew Romanski is a New York based filmmaker with a passion for promoting diverse voices and unique stories rooted in empathy. He has worked on varous productions such as MOONLIGHT, NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES ALWAYS, and THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. He has produced over a dozen short films, with an independent feature film in post-production. He aims to promote a positive, inclusive and healthy workspace environment with hopes of setting a standard in the industry.
Andrew Helow, Music Editor
Andrew Helow is a Los Angeles based film composer with an ear for emotional atmosphere and a preference for piano and synthesizers. Hailing from a musical family, Helow has acquired a vast knowledge of genre. Stunna Money will be his third sonic collaboration with Parker.
