As Sam's flight gets continuously delayed, her mind begins to wander. This satirical journey highlights the parallel between being stuck in an airport and being stuck in one's own life. Fun, right? We'll see. Samantha Vita stars in debut one-person show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August!

Mission Statement

Our goal with this project is to capture the chaos that is your mid-twenties in an incurably online world and to demonstrate the effects that has on one's mental health.

The Story

Hi! Samantha here!! :) Thank you so much for taking the time to check out this page!

Terminal is a one-person show that follows Sam (that's me), on a satirical journey through the airport. With outlandish humor, poignant insights, and a possible dance number, Terminal highlights the parallel between being stuck in an airport and being stuck in one's own life.

Our goal in telling this story is to show the world to that you don't need permission to pursue your dreams, and out of dark times comes humor and light! We hope to be a fresh voice despite living in a time where conformity is rewarded. We hope to eventually take the show on tour and continue telling meaningful queer, female-centered stories for years to come.

HOW TO HELP

You can help make the debut of Terminal at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August possible by making any contribution you can! We need to reach at least 80% of our goal in order to keep the funds raised. All funds raised will go towards the needs of the show, as listed in the “Wishlist” tab.

STORY

Sam, a chronically online 20-something, is on her way home for her birthday. An event that she celebrates with her mom every year. A flight from NYC to Boston should only take 45 min? An hour tops? The universe has other ideas.

As her flight gets continuously delayed, Sam's mind begins to wander. We join Sam in various activities to keep her occupied including a zoom therapy session, sexual harassment prevention training, and even a possible romantic encounter. Will Sam ever make it home?

At the core, Terminal is about trying to do the best with what you have. The project will also feature original music and incredible voice actors without whom the show would not be possible!

About This Team

Jett and Sam met at NYU Strasberg while in their second year most likely sitting next to each other in metal fold out chairs pretending to be in an outdoor shower and making long loud sounds. They bonded over their love of film, comedy, and chipotle. The rest is history.
