Mission Statement

The Alfie White Project aims to confront the moral and psychological consequences of digital celebrity, challenging a culture that rewards performance over authenticity and spectacle over accountability.

The Story

We are a collective of filmmakers driven by urgency.

The Alfie White Project was born from a question that wouldn’t leave us alone: What happens when someone whose entire identity depends on an audience is suddenly left alone with themselves?

As artists and digital natives, we’ve watched influencer culture evolve from bedroom creativity into billion-dollar spectacle. We’ve seen fame accelerate, outrage monetize, and accountability blur. Behind the ring lights and algorithms, there are real people navigating pressure, performance, and psychological cost.

This project isn’t about cancel culture. It isn’t about villainizing influencers. It’s about examining what happens when humanity erodes under constant surveillance — when a person becomes a brand, and grief becomes content.

Led by director Fredrick Ewelike and produced by Zebratail Studios, our team blends cinematic craft with lived awareness of the digital age. We are passionate about telling culturally urgent stories that feel both intimate and explosive — grounded in performance, yet visually immersive and psychologically charged.

With a focused $15,000 proof-of-concept short, we are building more than a film. We are building a launchpad for a larger feature, a festival strategy aimed at Sundance and SXSW, and a conversation about the cost of living online.

We believe bold storytelling should meet the moment.

And this moment demands reflection.

THE ALFIE WHITE PROJECT is a visceral psychological portrait of fame in freefall.

At the height of his influence, viral internet superstar Alfie White is swallowed by the very

spectacle he created. As screaming fans and flashing cameras escort him into a courthouse to

face a public trial, Alfie appears untouchable, sealed behind designer sunglasses and a carefully

engineered persona. But when the noise cuts to silence inside a church basement group therapy

session, the performance begins to crack.

Over the course of one night, Alfie is forced to confront the cost of turning his life into content.

As strangers share stories of grief and loss, he unravels, haunted by the relentless pressure of

virality, the erosion of his identity, and the death of his best friend and cameraman during an

attempt at a viral video gone tragically wrong. Memories bleed into distorted media montages,

manifestations of his online persona taunt him, and the line between who Alfie is and who the

internet demands he be collapses entirely.

OUR TEAM

The Alfie White Project is powered by a team of bold, culturally aware filmmakers committed to telling urgent, psychologically resonant stories.

At the helm is director, writer, and producer Fredrick Ewelike, whose vision for the film blends cinematic realism with digital intimacy, exploring the fragile line between performance and identity in the age of online fame. His leadership anchors the project in both emotional depth and visual ambition.

Cinematographer Thomas Blanks brings a sharp, immersive eye to the world of Alfie White, crafting fluid, kinetic visuals that heighten the psychological tension and contrast the spectacle of virality with the isolation beneath it.

Producer Brandon Salazar leads the project with a focus on execution, strategy, and long term vision, ensuring that this proof of concept is not only creatively powerful, but positioned for festival success and future expansion.

Post Production Producer Tevvon Hines oversees the film’s editorial and finishing process, shaping the final product with a strong emphasis on pacing, tone, and overall cinematic impact to elevate the project beyond its proof of concept.

Executive Producer Z.L. Singleton supports the project’s overarching direction and strategic growth, helping position it for broader industry opportunities. Together, the team brings a balance of creative intuition and production discipline.

Associate Producers Gary Pierrot Jr. and Amaelyah Woodley, along with 1st Assistant Director AB Perez, round out the leadership team, coordinating logistics and workflow to keep the production focused, efficient, and performance driven.

Together, we are united by a shared mission: to create bold, culturally relevant cinema that feels urgent, unsettling, and deeply human.

DIRECTORS STATEMENT

This project was born out of a growing fascination and concern with modern content creators whose lives unfold almost entirely online. The speed at which influence, fame, and outrage circulate today creates a pressure cooker where identity, accountability, and humanity can erode quickly. I was especially interested in the idea of what happens when someone whose entire existence depends on an audience is suddenly forced into a space with no performance, no metrics, and no validation.
