Mission Statement

This powerful story will resonate deeply with anyone who has grieved a loved one or felt the chasm growing between them and their child. "Chasm" is an inspiring reminder that even at our lowest, the path toward reconnection and renewal is always possible through love, vulnerability and faith.

The Story

What is this story really about?

At odds for years, a heartbroken father and detached daughter embark on a trek up the mountain that once brought their family great joy. Struggling to connect on the car ride there and during their grueling ascent, the daughter shuts her father out until they reach the summit at sunset. Overwhelmed by the vista's beauty and her dad's sudden show of emotion, the daughter finally opens up about her trauma. The two embrace and grieve together, their bonds renewed. And under the paintbrush of a setting sun, the father bestows a prayer-woven blessing over his daughter's life to come, restoring what was lost and bringing them both much-needed peace.


What this story means to ME?

This story truly resonates with me because I have two beautiful, very different daughters that I am always desperately trying to stay connected with. As a father, it is my job to tell them 'you're beautiful', 'you're valuable', 'you should always be treated with respect and dignity' and 'I will never STOP pursuing your heart'. As I hope and pray that what good character they see in me they will look for in their spouse. It will matter.


Why are we telling this story?

In that same line of thinking, our mission is three fold:

  1. We want parents to be courageous in their pursuit of their children's hearts. Our kids may not remember every time we said, "I love you" but they will remember how well we've loved them. Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
  2. We also want to re-inspire parents to pray meaningful, supernatural blessings over their children, strengthening family bonds, building positive spiritual legacy and dismantling generational curses from the past.  
  3. Additionally, this powerful story will resonate deeply and comfort anyone who has grieved a loved one or felt the chasm growing between them and their child.


Where are we in with the project so far?

We are in early Pre-pro but moving fast. The writing, casting and table reads are done. Our next steps are to lock in locations, solicit crew and begin filming. Your contributions will go toward the full production. Crew, equipment, meals, travel, locations and cast. Additionally, your contributions will fund post production from editing and composing to color-grading. Any additional funds will go toward the appropriate film festivals to help get distribute this beautiful message!


Our Goal

We hope to raise a minimum of $26.5k. If we meet 100% of our goal, our stretch goal is a hopeful $30k.
