The Story
Logline:
Levi, a man suspicious of his girlfriend’s fidelity, sneaks into what he believes is her lover’s apartment, only to be caught in a series of comedic and tense situations involving strangers, unexpected confrontations, and a hidden man under the bed.
Story:
Levi’s suspicions about his girlfriend’s affair lead him to take drastic measures. Determined to catch her in the act, he sneaks into an apartment he believes belongs to her lover. But instead of finding his girlfriend, Levi stumbles upon Beatrice—a woman he doesn’t recognize—just as her husband comes home. Panicking, Levi hides under the bed, only to discover that there’s already another man hiding there!
Suddenly, Levi’s attempt to catch his girlfriend cheating spirals into a whirlwind of misunderstandings, unexpected confrontations, and shifting power dynamics. With her husband’s sudden return, Levi is caught in the middle of this marital drama, forced to hide in increasingly awkward and comedic circumstances. What started as a plan to catch a cheater turns into a wild ride full of comedic tension, secret affairs, and the messy fallout of jealousy and mistrust.
Why now:
In a time when relationships are more complicated than ever, this film lets us laugh at the absurdity of our insecurities. It’s easy to get lost in what we think might be happening, but often the truth is much simpler—and funnier—than we realize. This film is about taking a step back, laughing at ourselves, and recognizing that sometimes, our biggest fears are just misunderstandings.
In an era where social alienation is amplified by the internet, when relationships are more complicated than ever, my film uses humor to highlight the absurd ways personal insecurities and misunderstandings affect our relationships. Through the character of Levi, audiences will laugh at his mishaps while recognizing their own human flaws, walking away reassured that they’re not alone in their struggles.
At its core, this film explores the humorous and often absurd lengths people will go to when driven by jealousy and insecurity. It also delves into the complexities of modern relationships—the way people use manipulation, secrets, and power plays to cope with emotional discontent. As a filmmaker, I’ve always been fascinated by the ridiculous situations we find ourselves in when emotions take over. This story reflects how modern life often twists our perceptions of reality, leading to comedic, yet deeply relatable outcomes.
With a background in stop-motion animation, I’ve developed a keen eye for detail and timing, which will help me capture the perfect balance of humor and emotional depth in this project. I’m excited to create a film that not only entertains but also resonates with audiences on a personal level.

We are well into pre-production and are gearing up to shoot in 2 weeks! We’ll be raising funds through production, so please help support this project, even after we start shooting!
Moodboard:
I'm inspired by Jim Jarmusch, Jacques Tati, and droll comedy-style films for this. It will be wide shots, with punchy, slapsticky comedy, shot in low light night scenes. Here are some examples of what it might look like:
