We invite you to take a look into the fantastical world of adult entertainment. Through the eyes of a small fetish production that managed to snag one of the biggest names in the industry. But just know that this one is a little different from the mainstream.

This is The Last Film of Richard Dick. The once legendary star who, at the height of his career, rivaled Ron Jeremy in terms of notoriety. His star may have faded. Probably because of certain scandals. And his reputation for being difficult to work with. Yes, he had to have fallen pretty hard to take a job this underground. But I assure you, though the ladies might not always like him, he still knows how to give it to them good.

Of course, he won't need that very much for this one.

This starts out as a comedy about this middle aged "bro" who can't tell or care whether or not he's wanted, and the crew who has to put up with him, because they know he'll bring attention to them and the niche that most of the world doesn't even know exists. But then, in the last scene, things get weird. And deadly. A supernatural horror twist that puts him and his bad attitude in their place with a sense of humor that's more over-the top than what we've seen before.

This short will be a raunchy (but not exploitative) feminist horror-comedy. And all we need now is the money.

This is the brainchild of a man named Jay Slater. He had recently written and directed the comedy short film True Love. It was made with next to no budget in his parents' garage and had severe mishaps with the audio guy, but was still able to be screened at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival at LA Live.

For his next film, he's expanding his horizons by delving into his interest in horror, and using a more subtle sense of humor (at least until the climactic ending). He's found a small company that's interested in producing, and should this movie make its goal, they will give this short actual production value and sound that isn't terrible.

Though the idea started when Jay was thinking of a hypothetical concept for a particularly provocative horror short, (he came up with the title "Fetish Video," and worked from there) he still views this as more of a dark comedy than a horror exploitation film. He is just as interested in humanizing this seemingly lowbrow industry as he is in the monsters. Most of the set-up feels like a straightforward comedy making the reveal seemingly more effective. And the final scene is more Evil Dead than A Serbian Film.

Aside from the dark comedy and sudden supernatural elements, this is a story of overcoming sexist ideas of the past.

This movie was written to have a small budget, and it does, at only a little over $5,000. This money will go toward the talent and crew as well as things like visual effects, wardrobe and props, and a contingency fund in case of any surprises during the shoot. If we get more than our budget, we might even be able to go bigger and bloodier with the final scene.
