The Story
This film explores a couple’s struggle at a low point in their relationship. If you’ve ever felt the weight of uncertainty in a relationship, you’ll connect with this story. It’s an honest look at two people at a crossroads, trying to figure out what comes next. This isn’t just another love story—it’s about the messy, beautiful, and complex moments that define any relationship.
The Inspiration
I began writing The Places We’ll Go about a year ago, drawing from those fragile moments in relationships—the moments that make you question why you entered into them in the first place. I wanted to tell a story that felt raw, vulnerable, and honest, capturing the complexities we often face but rarely talk about. That’s how The Places We’ll Go was born: a reflection of real emotions, real struggles, and the deep truths that shape our connections.
The Vision
This film isn’t just a project—it’s a story I feel deeply called to share.
As a filmmaker, I’ve always been drawn to stories that resonate on an emotional level—stories that ask difficult questions and explore the complexities of human connection. This film is a deeply personal journey for me, inspired by experiences and feelings I believe many will relate to.
Over the past year, I’ve poured my heart into crafting this story. It’s not just about building a world or writing a script; it’s about capturing something real, something that feels alive. I can see the scenes unfolding in my mind, hear the dialogue, and feel the pulse of the emotions driving every moment.
At its core, this project isn’t just about making a film—it’s about tapping into the raw, universal experiences we all share. It's about creating an emotional truth on screen that speaks to the heart. I believe that the themes we’re exploring—vulnerability, connection, and self-discovery—will resonate deeply with audiences.
Supported by a passionate and talented team, we’re committed to bringing this vision to life. Together, we aim to create a cinematic experience that not only tells a story but also invites viewers to reflect on their own lives, relationships, and emotions in a way that feels profound and real.
Recognition
The Places We’ll Go script has already garnered industry recognition, becoming a Semifinalist at the Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival 2024 and a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Film Fund Fall 2024.
Bringing the Vision to Life
We’re in the final stages of pre-production. The script is locked, and we’ve secured a talented, dedicated team to bring The Places We’ll Go to life. We’re currently scouting locations, finalizing casting, and locking in our shooting schedule, with plans to begin filming in November 2024. We aim to have the film ready for festival submissions by Spring 2025.
Select backers will receive early access to an exclusive screening once the film is completed. But we can’t take the next steps without your support.
