Hey Ya'll! Jaclyn and Charity here! We are so excited you made it to this page! Here is a quick synopsis about our film:
When a girly road trip turns into a fight for their lives, two glamorous trailer park besties risk being kidnapped by a plumber-turned-private eye to accomplish their biggest dream: being their 90's teenage heartthrobs' biggest fans.
A fun female driven buddy road trip comedy in the classical tradition but with a southern baked charm all its own. The characters throughout are truly likable and easy to invest in given their comedic banter & empathetic layers.
A wholesome THELMA & LOUISE meets ROMY & MICHELLE with the edge shorn off and the stylistic broadness turned way up.

We’re making a woman-driven indie film, and we need your help to get it off the ground! This story is super close to our hearts, and we’re all about creating space for strong, authentic female voices in film.
Our total budget is $150,000, but right now we’re raising $20,000 to kick things off. This first round will help us get pre-production rolling, building our team, locking in early logistics, and setting the foundation for everything to come.
Independent films like ours don’t happen without community, love, and support. We truly believe this one deserves to shine. If you can chip in (or share!), you’ll be helping bring something really special to life.
In a time when audiences crave joy, nostalgia, and heartfelt friendships, this film delivers big laughs, Southern charm, and a fun, feel-good adventure. A love letter to besties, fandom, and chasing dreams, no matter how wild, it’s the road trip we all need!

Cute... But where’s the money going?
So glad you asked! We’re asking for this $20,000 to jumpstart pre-production, the essential first phase of bringing our woman-led indie film to life. While our full budget is $150,000, this first chunk will help us lay a solid foundation and start building the dream team that will carry this story all the way through. But please feel free to fund the whole film. :)
Here’s what this funding will help us cover:
• Casting – Finding the perfect actors to bring our characters to life
• Location Scouting – Searching for the right settings and spaces to shoot
• Production Design – Starting the creative vision and look of the film
• Hiring Our Core Team – That includes our director, cinematographer, and producer
• Insurance + Legal Fees – The not-so-glamorous, but super important stuff that keeps everything protected and on track
This phase is all about setting us up for success. With your support, we’ll be able to hit the ground running and make sure this story gets the love and attention it deserves from day one.

Jaclyn & Charity founded Girly Pop Pictures, as a dynamic blend of creative minds dedicated to empowering female voices in filmmaking and storytelling, ensuring every project sparkles with energy and passion.
Charity Cervantes, originally from Arizona, is an Atlanta-based actor recognized for her roles in HBO Max & DC Universe’s Doom Patrol as well as Netflix’s Teenage Bounty Hunters. With valuable on-set experience, she is now expanding her creative pursuits into writing and producing. Her writing debut short film has been celebrated at several film festivals, igniting her passion for storytelling. Charity is currently developing feature film scripts and television pilots; through her heartfelt narratives, she seeks to illuminate the darker corners of the world, bringing joy and inspiration to her audience.
Jaclyn Betham, born in Long Beach, California, is a dynamic actress, producer, and writer who has made her mark in Hollywood with roles in hit series like NCIS: New Orleans and The Haves and the Have Nots. Beyond her acting talents, she is passionate about creating films that champion women-driven roles and foster positive, empowering narratives. Betham is committed to storytelling that inspires and uplifts, determined to drive change in the entertainment industry one project at a time. Her first full length feature film, Getaway (2021), which she produced and wrote, has been sold worldwide.
