The Story

BLOW! is a short film that tells the story of a Man who's thinks he's on his way to experience the best night of his life – which turns out to be his last. It's a genre-bending rape-revenge story with equal parts formaldehyde and glitter.
At the heart of the tale is our villain & heroine DOLL. She's a supernatural spirit in the form of a classic blow-up sex doll, an iconic symbol of objectification reimagined as a weapon for liberation. The story has twists and turns (which we can’t reveal yet…) but once you enter her domain, you’ll be trapped on a wild ride.

DOLL is inspired by the great icons of feminine rage throughout time and across cultures: Medusa, the Woman in Black, Baba Yaga, Jahi, a Llorona, La Diablesse. To bring the newest incarnation to life, we have assembled an incredibly experienced team to welcome you into her world, where no safe word can save you—no matter how loud you scream.
The Story is the brainchild of writer/actor Maggie Mae Fish, who has been developing a feature-length version with director Monica Suriyage. They've brought on veteran producer Vicki Syal to oversee production.
We decided we couldn't wait any longer to bring Doll to the masses, so we're making a short version of BLOW! to share her with an audience who's thirsty for blood.
Maggie (writer, actor), Doll (star), Crista (makeup/SFX) and Monica (director)
SFX/makeup artist Crista Llewellyn has already begun to bring Doll to life...

... and our production designer Daniel Clay Fox is hard at work getting the layout of Doll's Boudoir and Work Room ready.

This standalone short film version of BLOW! contains the first few scenes of a future feature film. The short will run about 10 minutes, and will double as a proof of concept for the eventual feature project. Your support will allow us to fund a two day shoot with a full professional crew, plus pay for post-production services and festival submissions. Our Stretch Goal is an additional shoot day to add even more glamour and gore. Any additional funds will go into making the production sparkle even brighter, and allow us to submit to even more festivals with more promotion and glam.
We're excited to prove that BLOW! has the grit, guts and girliness to be the next big horror franchise.

If you’ve ever had your boundaries crossed...
If you harbor righteous rage in this broken world...
If you want to keep your hands clean and let a "monster" take care of your dirty work...
... This story is for you.
Whether or not you can throw your support behind BLOW! with money, we'll be forever grateful if you share our campaign with anyone you think would appreciate some supernatural retribution. Share the crowdfunding campaign, and check us out on social media. Every little bit will help us bring Doll to the masses.

Supporting Hollywood Labor
Right now is a very precarious time in the industry. With corporate media consolidation and anti-labor practices, it's harder than ever for the working folks of Los Angeles to find good paying jobs. In producing BLOW!, we aim to hire an amazing crew and pay fair wages. Labor will be by far our biggest expense on this production. There's a brain-drain going on in Hollywood, with people moving away due to the lack of work. In the bigger picture, our project may be tiny, but we're doing what we can to keep filmmaking alive.
