Mission Statement
The Story

Danny, a disciplined hitman ready to retire and leave behind a country he no longer respects, takes one final job to clear his debts — training his replacement, Brian, a chronically-online 19 year old dark web prodigy.
Their mission — to plant a bomb and destroy a sex tape — unravels when the crypto-wealthy target couple traps them in a lustful scheme of power and pleasure.
As the night spirals out of control, Danny must decide whether walking away clean is even possible in a world this f*cked up.
Director’s Statement
Hi! My name is Seth Yoshinobu, a 25 year old first time director from Vancouver, Washington. The inception of The Bomb started with one idea in mind; discomfort. The films and shows that have stuck with me the most are the ones that make me feel the most, whether it be joy, sadness, or anxiety. This feeling comes from multiple places in our film: a literal ticking-time bomb constantly reminding the audience our main characters have only minutes to live; a clueless couple whose sexual fantasies and behavior are so cringey you want to look away.
Getting the audience to have a visceral reaction through cringe and tension is something I am striving towards while directing this film. We’re so excited to welcome you into this journey!

The “cuck” is having its cultural moment - but this is more than just a movie about cucks…
Modern media has many recent examples of “eat the rich” movies and shows. We wanted to create something more nuanced, that doesn’t involve billionaires and instead focuses on some of the offensive and harmful behaviors of the upper middle class. Specifically, the fetishization of what they deem “exotic”.
The Bomb is meant to feel voyeuristic, linking the audience to how Danny feels, constantly being watched or analyzed by the white people around him. In a world inundated with social media and mass government surveillance - everyone is under the microscope.

About This Team

SETH YOSHINOBU - Director & Co-Writer
I’m Seth Yoshinobu, also known as boodah — a Vancouver, WA–based filmmaker, musician, and creative multitool. A USC School of Cinematic Arts alum, I’ve spent nearly a decade producing music for myself and others. In July 2025, I released GARDENA, a 16-song album with a collaborative music video. As boodah, I fuse infectious melodies, sharp lyricism, and
visual storytelling across film and sound.
KEVIN WILLIAMS - Director of Photography
I’ve worked for 3 years in the Portland film industry as a Cinematographer and Gaffer. My portfolio is comprised of commercial projects, music videos, and narrative shorts such as BLUE, The Man Who Waits, GARDENA, and Eden Avenue. Outside of being a Cinematographer, I enjoy strategy games, snowboarding, and analog film photography.

RILEY HOOPER - Producer & Co-Writer
I’m a multifaceted filmmaker and creative, balancing full-time work in healthcare with a wide-ranging career in film, photography, and production. I am currently in post-production on my directorial debut, Eyes, and producing the upcoming surreal-drama short Viewfinder.
As the founder of Astray Media, I create abstract, rugged, and emotionally driven work—ranging from narrative films and outdoor educational content to photographing live concerts—as well as producing the local queer podcast Hung at Heart, all with a commitment to art that challenges and resonates.
GABI POLSINELLI - Production Designer
I’m a multidisciplinary artist from New York City, now based in Portland, Oregon. My practice spans street photography and painting alongside work in theater and film, with credits as a set dresser, prop master, costume designer, production designer, and IATSE stagehand/electrician. I hold a BA in Studio Art from CUNY Hunter College - and maintain a portfolio of
long-term themed projects, some ongoing since 2016.
