Mission Statement

When a powerful mogul dies without an heir, her executor conducts a series of psychological games to determine the recipient of the fortune.

The Story

This Mystery/ Drama film is about the death of a powerful and childless international business magnate, which triggers a psychologically charged battle for her vast fortune orchestrated by her Executor. Eleven finalists arrive at a posh venue, hoping to claim a fortune from their mysterious host. At the center of the game is a sharply dressed Executor who serves as judge, guide, and enforcer of the rules laid out in the will of the mysterious mogul.  The gun concealed in his coat, which he brandishes willingly, highlights the stakes.  Game play eliminates each contestant one by one, raising suspicions due to what some call targeted rather than random events. The players soon realize, after unavoidable suspicion that something is amiss, someone is controlling the game.

Who is it?

THE PROJECT

This film is a fascinating thriller called The Executor. It’s A mystery-driven narrative about secrets, greed, and the power of legacy. When a group of strangers gathers to hear the will of a powerful mogul, they soon realize that wealth comes at a cost, and the executor isn’t just handing out money; he’s carrying out her final game. The script was written by Taz Lake, a talented and gifted screenwriter.

SHOW CROSS

SUCCESSION Meets THE GAME Meets THE MENU

The creative community has always been a source of strength, encouragement, and entertainment. This film represents independent artists who have found ways to be creative and build support from within. Production of The Executor expands the reach of the independent creative community and will show that creatives can self-support with effort and hard work.

By participating in this project with us, you will be a part of a collaborative collective that fosters a breeding ground for talented independent creators in an industry that has suffered in the past year. You will help to empower creatives to tell authentic stories that may never be told. We give space to diverse voices and bring new perspectives to the screen.

ABOUT US

Actors Army is a close-knit group of diverse actors and filmmakers from Atlanta to New York. The group was created in May 2020. Storytelling is at the heart of what we do, and this project represents the best in community art and filmmaking from talented and professional storytellers. Actors Army

Our actors and filmmakers participate in all types of film and television projects across the country, for major film studios, television networks, and streaming channels. The goal for Actors Army is to elevate knowledge and talent in our industry, and to create and constantly expand. Actors Army has produced four short films since 2020.

We are pleased to announce that the cast of our film will comprise some of the members of our talented Actors Army.

Our strategy is to be fully funded by December 2025. We are already in Pre-Production and preparing for Principal Photography in early 2026. The film will be in Post-Production in spring 2026 and then ready for festivals  by the Fall of 2026

Where will this film be seen?

Our ultimate goal is wider distribution of our full film via a major studio/online streaming platform (i.e. Hulu, Xfinity, Amazon). Still, our more immediate goal is the completion of this film and sharing it with YOU. We plan to submit this film to some of the most highly acclaimed film festivals around the world and debut it to our supporters via a virtual screening.

What will your contributions cover?

The contributions to our campaign will not only help reimburse the expenses from our first round of filming, but they will also cover the payments of our production staff, the cost of equipment.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

PLEDGE TO OUR CAMPAIGN WITH OUR FISCAL SPONSOR

The Executor is a fiscally sponsored project of The Big Picture Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit independent media arts organization. Contributions on behalf of The Executor are payable to The Big Picture Foundation (through Seed and Spark) and are tax-deductible, less the value of any goods or services received, as allowed by law. The value of goods and services being offered will be given upon request.

Our stretch Goal is an additional $5,000  which will go towards additional equipment needed to shoot the film. Our desire is to run a budget-friendly production and execute filming on a conservative cost basis. We will compensate our cast and crew within our means. We are also seeking In-Kind sponsors to supplement the overall budget and reduce costs wherever applicable.

DAISY PAREJA

Daisy Pareja was last seen as Dr. Dresden in Tyler Perry's "Divorced Sistas" in 2025. She is experienced in playing a range of blue-collar and sophisticated, warm yet tough moms/caretakers to the cultured Latina professionals. Some say she's a Latina version of Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Emily In Paris). Defender of the vulnerable, she can kill you with kindness (in English & Spanish, and with attitude too)! Daisy started out as a news reporter and producer working for Univision and CNN En Español. When "Hollywood moved to Georgia" due to tax incentives, Daisy got her first break in the feature film, "Anchorman 2", alongside Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate. She crossed over to acting full-time, enrolled in classes, and continues to train in the craft. Additionally, she works with her dialect coach and mentor on a regular basis. Daisy is also a producer, a writer, and she is the co-founder of Actors Army, a community of working actors and filmmakers from Atlanta to New York.
