THE (OUT)CAST(S)

We have a kick-ass and diverse cast ready to rock their roles. Make sure to follow our campaign for fun little vignettes we made just for your amusement! Our cast does come with some special circumstances since it's almost all kids. For instance, we have to pay for a studio teacher and we have less hours in a day we can film. So beyond the need for alien planets and spaceships, we also have those added expenses. However, we are very excited to explore themes related to growing up orphans, finding hope in harsh circumstances, and dealing with all things kids and teens go through every day.

Each character has their own distinct personality, talents, and conflicts to overcome. Although they are all orphans now (thanks to the S.U.C.), their planets they are from are very different from one another. Whereas someone like Frickle was incredibly bonded to his family, and feels lost now that he's an Outcast; Slay is used to being on her own and fending for herself. Throughout the series they must find ways to battle their inner demons while fighting potential real ones.

THE MONEY

Our initial campaign goal only gets us one 5-minute episode. Our ultimate goal is a full 30-minute pilot for festivals that will also be a 6-episode web series. We want to create something the entire family wants to watch together. Every dollar you donate goes straight into the project. From VFX to craft services, every single dollar helps and your support matters.

We have several milestones during this campaign. With your help we'll get to our full goal of $200,000 and get to make the full script that has gotten great feedback. Often people don't understand why filmmakers want to raise so much money to make a short project that won't have much shelf life. However, our team has been making films for over two decades and yet we don't have that one show piece that helps catapult us to the next level. To make something of quality, we have looked at the budget and are being honest and upfront about the minimum money needed. Keep in mind, we are working to make a 30-minute pilot on $200,000 to look like a studio made it and we can do this! Our team has proven in the past that we are able to stretch a dollar. Our last feature, Playing with Beethoven, was made on $65,000 and it got a theatrical release. Luckily, it didn't have spaceships and other VFX needs!
