The Story

As summer fades into fall in the suburbs of California, a new school year begins for a high school senior friend group: Alice, Blake, Jamie, and Jack.
At the center of the group is the quiet but undeniable connection between Alice and Blake. When Jamie, Alice’s best friend, tries to get her to admit her feelings, Alice instead reveals that she is still seeing her ex-boyfriend, Dean. From there, the story moves between Alice’s two relationships, revealing the contrast between them.
With Blake, there is a liveliness to Alice, their chemistry is built on the kind of intimacy that exists before anything is spoken aloud. As she is forced to confront feelings she has long avoided, the story unfolds through fragmented memories, fleeting moments, and pieces of love.
Through it all, Alice gradually realizes that the choice before her is one she has already made. When senior year begins, she must finally reckon with what she wants and what she is willing to leave behind.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I became fascinated by the contrast between suburban life and the fast pace of the city surrounding it.
That experience continues to shape the stories I want to tell as a filmmaker. After high school, I moved to New York City to study at Parsons School of Design, where I’ve been able to develop my voice further as a storyteller.

Triangles is deeply personal to me-- and so is my team. The production is led primarily by young women filmmakers who all grew up in the town of Agoura Hills and also made the move from California to NYC. Producing alongside me are 3 strong independent female filmmakers: Luca Bella Sisino, Olivia Corso, and Marley Rose.
As emerging young filmmakers, we care about telling honest stories through a female lens and making work that reflects our own experiences, and memories of our womanhood. This story matters now because as more independent films directed by young directors make it into theaters; it’s clear that this is my opportunity to share my female voice.
Our teenage years are extremely universally nostalgic no matter where you grew up or what your adolescence looked like; it shapes who we become as adults. I want Triangles to be a story where anyone can relate and especially since my high school years are not that far behind me, I believe I have the perspective to bring this story to the screen for my generation and the ones following behind me.

ALICE: Seventeen, easy going, spontaneous, and outgoing. Stubborn in her habits, she is a smoker and drinks too much sometimes. She is indecisive and many things all at once probably because she is a little lost, still heartbroken over Dean. Though she tries to keep her guard up, at her core she is passionate and her natural expressive self gives her away, especially when it comes to her obvious feelings for Blake.
BLAKE: Charismatic, friendly, always trying to make everyone laugh. Is sincere and also blunt but in a playful way. Observant and patient, but in a quiet way. The type of person that always remembers the little things. He doesn't always voice what he notices, as seen in his obvious feelings for Alice.
JAMIE: Extroverted and curious, Jamie is Alice's best friend. fun to be around, but is also the only person who is truly honest with Alice. She is observant, communicative, and a true girl's girl through and through.
JAKE: Witty and confident. Jamie's golden retriever boyfriend, and Blake's best friend. He is a good time and the life of the party.
DEAN: Alice’s ex boyfriend, whom she is seeing again without strings attached. Dean is inattentive, and impulsive. Stubborn and a smoker similar to Alice, he shows affection towards her, always entertaining their relationship. Yet his actions lack intention, which Alice mistakes as meaningful.

Funds raised from Seed&Spark will be distributed towards production costs. We would like to raise a total of $5K: this would allow us to rent gear, provide food/crafty for our hardworking cast+crew, insurance, transportation, and all below the line costs such as wardrobe and set design. Most importantly, our actress playing Alice, Bailey Sloan, is SAG which means as a non-union project, we need to be able to pay her sag minimum. We plan on shooting TRIANGLES this coming August, 2026, in Southern California.
Below is an estimated budget on how your donations will support our project.

Stretch Budget Goals: We aim to raise $5,000 but with $7k or even $10k, much more is possible. With these goals, we’d be able to put more into our production value and most importantly, post-production costs: editing, score, sound, color, etc. Not to mention less stress when applying to festivals.
We would love to compensate all of our lovely crew and cast, and that’s only possible with your help!
Our priority is to bring together a small cast and crew and share this near and dear story with the world. As a team of young female filmmakers, we want to see our stories on the screen and participate in the rise of indie filmmaking. Anything is possible with any sum of money and we’d be so grateful for your love and support.
