The Story

Following our leading lady, Brie, a micro-influencer, and her three roommates- Jay, Ella, and Casey, our Gen-Z audience will see their own lives reflected in each episode.
Twenty Somethings is a Gen Z comedy series set in Los Angeles, following four single roommates navigating love, work, friendship, and influencer culture in the age of social media. The pilot is an award-winning script, slated for production in September 2025 on an ultra-low budget of $100,000
The show is created, written, and directed by Bianca Roth. This pilot blends the raunchy humor of Girls with the glamour of Sex and the City, with the relevance of Adults, all bundled together to create an accurate show of Gen-Zers living in Los Angeles in the 2020s.

Our primary demographic is viewers 18 to 35, targeting mainly a Gen Z and millennial audience.
Gen Z and Millennials are the largest streaming audience, making up over 50% of all streaming viewership. These viewers want to see more shows that are a reflection of their lives. Platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon are doubling down on original series aimed at the 18–34 demo — Netflix’s “Sex Education”, Hulu’s “Adults”, and Amazon’s “Overcompensating” all skew young toward this demographic.

A key element of Twenty Somethings is its authentic connection to Gen Z culture. We’re weaving real influencers directly into the story through cameo appearances, ensuring the show feels like the digital-first world our audience lives in.
Our first confirmed cameo is a lifestyle creator with over 1.7 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, known for bold, humorous, and relatable Gen Z content. This influencer will appear as themself in the pilot, immediately boosting visibility and drawing their engaged fanbase into the project.
Alongside influencer cameos, we’re partnering with brands that Gen Z actually uses. These brands will be integrated naturally into scenes — from what our characters drink, to the apps they message on, to the fashion they wear. This strategy not only keeps the show grounded in the real world, but also ensures our partners gain exposure both on-screen and online.
With our cast, crew, and audience already immersed in TikTok and Instagram, every influencer cameo and brand integration will be amplified across social media, creating a dual layer of exposure: on the show and on the feeds of millions of Gen Z viewers.
Twenty Somethings is a unique model that directly involves influencers into the storyline via cameos and brand partnership deals. Influencer marketing now drives a $24B global market. By featuring influencer cameos, our project will draw an instant audience across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Twenty Somethings is more than a comedy series. It’s a relatable, modern reflection of digital adulthood, written by and for Gen Z. We are seeking seven brand sponsors to help bring this vision to life. Your brand will be built into the DNA of the show organically, credibly, and in front of a highly engaged Gen Z audience. With built-in marketing reach, a clear target audience, festival validation, and a cost-efficient production plan, this project is uniquely positioned to succeed in today’s streaming economy.
We are raising an ultra low budget of $100,000. This budget is a strategic target for producing a professional-grade, festival-ready pilot while staying within the industry standard for ultra low budget productions. (Under 300k.) To fund our budget, our goal is to raise 60% from brand sponsors and 40% ($40,000) from private investors. The investor portion of the funding is designed to come from a small group of early supporters who believe in the project’s potential. We’re aiming for these contributions to be between $2,500 and $50,000 each. At $100,000, the budget is large enough to secure talent, rental gear, location & permitting fees, provide meals, and invest in post-production. This amount also allows us to maintain creative control and minimize financial risk. Within this budget our goal is to compensate young filmmakers who are in the current climate of the film industry are often overlooked when it comes to fair compensation.

We will be submitting the pilot to film festivals where episodic content is gaining traction. Festivals such as SXSW, Tribeca, and SeriesFest are increasingly spotlighting television pilots and web series with major success stories ex: Duplass Brothers’ episodic work, Issa Rae’s High Maintenance, Nothing Except Everything Short Film picked up by Darren Aronofsky in 2024. We are leveraging our digital audience for distribution. Our TikTok account has an 13.7% engagement rate which is considered above industry benchmarks. Our account is actively followed by users who are excited to watch the show come to life and are eager to see the final product. Distributing scene teasers on social media will continue to gain thousands of targeted viewers without an immediate network pickup. Should the audience broaden and demand for the full pilot episode increase without the distribution deal of a streamer; we plan to put the full episode behind a digital paywall (ie, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) This avenue allows us to begin digital distribution of the full pilot episode independently.

We have used social media to crew and cast for the Twenty Somethings production. Our TikTok account has an 13.7% engagement rate which is considered above industry benchmarks. Our account is actively followed by users who are excited to watch the show come to life and are eager to see the final product. Using our production, crew, and actor social accounts, the project is rapidly gaining momentum and awareness.

About This Team
Twenty Somethings is created by Bianca Roth, whose pilot script has already received recognition, including Best Pilot at the LA Comedy Film Festival in 2024. She’s joined by an incredible team of Gen Z women who complete the Twenty Somethings team. We are creating a show that feels as real as it is funny, with a creative process that gives opportunities to Gen-Z filmmakers and artists.
This project comes from a place of wanting to reflect what it’s actually like to be in your 20s in LA right now - messy, funny, complicated, and tangled in social media.
We’ve never really seen the 2020s era in LA portrayed authentically on screen, especially in a way that naturally incorporates the influencer culture and brand deals. That’s why we’re making Twenty Somethings, so our audience can watch and say, “Yeah, that’s exactly what it’s like.”
