The Story
Two Men Left is a WWII short film about two soldiers. British medic James Holloway and American private Jimmy Robinson. Stranded behind enemy lines after a deadly firefight, with no backup, no radio contact, and no clear way out, survival means depending entirely on one another.
But survival is not just physical. It is emotional.
As fear, fatigue, and grief take hold, the distance between them is laid bare. Language, humour, and cultural differences clash. Mistrust simmers beneath the surface. But through quiet acts of kindness, trust begins to grow.
This is not a film about glory. It is about the choice to stay human in a world falling apart and what connects us when everything else has been stripped away.
This story has lived with our writer, Ben Masters, for a long time. Inspired by a passion for storytelling, history and family expierences of military service, it explores not grand victories, but quiet, human moments that often go untold. The silences. The humour. The unexpected bonds formed between strangers under pressure.
As the project grew, Ben brought together a team of collaborators who share personal ties to military history. These connections shaped our approach with care, authenticity, and deep respect.
The characters in Two Men Left are fictional, but the emotional truth behind them is very real.
This film is our tribute to ordinary people placed in extraordinary situations.
War stories are told all the time, but this is not a film about battlefield tactics. It is about intimacy. Isolation. The weight of a single choice. How two people from different worlds find a shared sense of purpose.
Right now, when the world feels more divided than ever, that message matters.

- Film in practical outdoor locations that reflect the terrain of 1940s Northern France
- Assemble a passionate and experienced crew of emerging International filmmakers
- Submit the final cut to top-tier film festivals, including TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival)
