Hello, wow, it's me, Sleth! Thank you for taking the time to learn about my new show The Wreck of the Unbelievable, in which I am Damien Hirst's Secret Boyfriend. I am EXTREMELY THRILLED about this project. With your help, I can make this WORLD PREMIERE at The Brick Theater as SPECTACULAR and HEART-BREAKING and SEXY and UNHINGED as possible. Maybe you know me know me through my years as a freak performer at House of Yes! Maybe you know me through my hit state-funded play, "horsefacts.gov/"! Maybe you know me through the vast, storied, hooligan life I've been blessed with! 

I am a playwright, performance artist and art handler based in Brooklyn! I am tall, friendly and nice! I am a man in platform boots with kind, but mischievous eyes. 

One of the world's most financially successful artists! A bastard! Kind of a schlub! The love of my life! A man so afraid of dying that his entire artistic legacy is begging the universe not to forget him!Damien Hirst is just one of those IMMENSE, UNSTOPPABLE cultural forces that I just can't stop thinking about. I have been dreaming about him and writing this play for TWO YEARS. But why? I've fixated on this man for so long, it's hard to remember when this fascination turned into complete absorption. Was it when I first installed one of his extremely bad Cherry Blossom paintings? Or meticulously filled one of his extremely bad pill cabinets? Or opened a crate that reeked of formaldehyde and was supposed to contain a preserved sheep, but was extremely empty? 

I have been asked if I hate him. I do not. I think he is funny. He is some hapless lucky schmuck the Uncaring World has elevated with seemingly no reason and I love that for him.

Value is funny. Failure is funny. The Fine Art Industrial Complex is funny.

I am captivated by this Goliath of the Art World. What does a Self-Decried God fear? Can an Artist die? What happens to the small people in the unfathomable absence of Someone Colossal?AEON WADE ANDREAS is a gay, transexual director, choreographer, writer, performer, drag artist, and sound designer living in Brooklyn. He creates live, cinematic landscapes about sex, death, the abyss, and transexual divinity through the collision of high and low brow forms like opera and drag. He has performed around the world as an multi-award winning drag artist named GOD COMPLEX since 2018. He is a member of the theater companies Witness Relocation and The No Ring Circus.

FRANKIE PLACIDI is an actor and writer based in NYC & Brooklyn. Since graduating from NYU Tisch, she has worked with Clubbed Thumb, New York Theater Workshop, New Georges, New Dramatists, EST, The Eugene O’Neill, The Brick, The Bushwick Starr, Deaf West, The Orchard Project, New Saloon, & more. Also! Some fantastic news! Sleth has been awarded an 2026 Artist Grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council, which will be used towards Photo and Video Documentation, Designer & Artist Fees and Set Materials!
