Britney Abrahams is the writer and director of Unapologetic. She's a multi-hyphenated artist, born and raised in New Jersey where she grew up performing in musical theatre. Her love of performing evolved to storytelling through writing and directing, sparking the creation of BAM Productions - a production company where she writes and directs her own projects for theatre and film. Britney’s interest in history, social justice, and multicultural representation has influenced her devotion to giving a voice to under- and misrepresented communities.

Her own personal self-love struggle and journey inspired her to write Unapologetic - with the intent to present more perspectives on the Black experience, build community and empower Black women to walk boldly in their skin.

Outside of Unapologetic, she is the co-founder and producer of the hit storytelling podcast, You Had Me at Black. Her two-act magical realism play, Roots of a Lily is in the works to hit the stage in 2021. Stay tuned!

Britney is a proud Alumna of the illustrious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

She resides in Brooklyn, NY where she enjoys belting out showtunes and catching up on her ever-growing list of true crime podcasts.

Ronelle Thomas is an experienced Film Producer and trained Actress. She has worked as a freelance media professional for over 10 years. Her experience in Media Production cover areas of Reality TV, Documentaries and Digital Content. This is Ronelle’s first time producing a short film. With years of TV production experience and a knack for directing, she is overjoyed for this exciting opportunity.

Ronelle recently wrapped up Season 1 of the hit Web Series Pillow Talk by the Emmy-Nominated Creators of Tough Love. She secured a supporting role in the Amazon Prime Comedic Short, Death of an Umbrella Salesman by Steve Herold. The film placed in over 12 film festivals worldwide and took home 2 wins in 2019. Prior to that, she wrapped up a Dramedy Short also by Steve Herold, entitled Waimea which is set to release this Spring (2020).
Coming up, Ronelle will be the lead in a Dramatic Short early this Summer. She will also be

Ronelle has been a student of the legendary Susan Batson for the last 5 years. She
also continues to train at HB Studio with Carol Rosenfield, Lisa Pelikan and at T. Schreiber Studio with Peter Jensen.
Ronelle resides in Brooklyn, NY where she enjoys training in Muay Thai and Swimming.
