When Men Were Men’s message echoed so loudly in the halls of hyper-masculinity and self destruction in Ireland, we found an even greater need to make it sure reaches as far as possible. Help us ensure we can. We are so grateful and proud of what we achieved with you already. Take a peak. Thank you.

Mission Statement

We are non-binary representation in an industry whose statistics hardly mention us. Telling stories about trans characters because we are trans individuals. It is integral to us that, unlike Hollywood, as many intersections of identity are in front and behind the camera of this film.

The Story

At the start of the film Kieran is juggling his two lives.

One is in Dublin, where he is perceived by his peers in his acting troupe as a cis-boy. Even his group of close friends don't know; Kieran is trans.

The other life is at home, in a small town an hour outside of Dublin. Knowing that his family- especially his motherwouldn't accept his gender identity Kieran is forced to "play the part" of a girl while at home.

In the midst of managing his dysfunctional family after a tragic loss, his aspirations to be a successful actor and his identity - Kieran falls relucatatnly in love with the new neighbor boy. Egan also doesn't know he is trans.

As they get closer Kieran must learn to be more vulnerable and more honest with others, and himselfor else...
