Mission Statement

This film comes from realizing, later than I wished, that family is more than comfort and chaos, it is a duty and a privilege, and it's funny. White Woman's Wallet is my way of capturing that feeling, and the importance of showing up for those who we love, who we need, and who needs a helping hand.

The Story

WHITE WOMAN'S WALLET is a day in the life of a frustrated, loyal son and an anxious well-meaning mother, spanning his (and then their joint) search for her wallet.

White Woman’s Wallet presents a specific, far too relatable world of anxiety induced familial frustration. Garrett, our protagonist, is involuntarily on-call 24/7 as a put-upon son to a worrisome but loving, retired mother, Linda who insists on Garrett’s assistance with anything and everything that goes remotely wrong in her life. Today’s issue is that Linda lost her wallet, somewhere, and Garrett must drop everything to go find it.

The problem is, he’s just taken a THC gummy, and every step of Linda’s he retraces only ratchets up the pressure as he comes up empty-handed, over and over, as she calls him incessantly to ask for updates.

When he runs out of places to look, he must pick up his motormouthed Mom and take her to file a police report.

He has a gun drawn on him by a cop, and learns that the wallet has been missing for more than 24 hours, making his entire day of searching futile. His accumulated anger and annoyance explodes, as he berates his mother.

They make up, and later, she tells him she found the wallet at home, and he decides to let it go, unconditionally accepting his mother for who she is. In the coda, she nearly loses the wallet again, but saves herself & Garrett from round two at the last second.

This futile odyssey brought my mother and I closer rather than driving a wedge between us. The film comes from realizing, later than I wished, that family is more than comfort and chaos, it is a duty and a privilege, and it's funny. WHITE WOMAN'S WALLET is my way of capturing that feeling, and the importance of showing up for those who we love, who we need, and who need a helping hand.

In 2025, we made the award-winning, single-take, dark comedy short film AN ANONYMOUS DONATION, starring David Krumholtz, Danny Flaherty, Charlie Tahan, and Eric Tabach. It told the story of a corrupt family man being extorted by three vigilantes, who he is unaware are right outside his window while they torture him over the phone.

Our team is comprised of director/writer/producer Conor McAdam, producer Danny Flaherty, producer/storyboard artist Andreas Loizou, producer/actor Jordan F. Scott, and producer/actor Peter Hogan. Our director of photography is Adam Volerich (whose debut feature, DRINK AND BE MERRY, just had a successful festival run and has since secured distribution). We will be joined by Adam's intrepid crew, and we have added the talented assistant director, Rolando Hernandez, to handle the new challenges that making WHITE WOMAN'S WALLET present. Our search is underway for our female lead, and we will proudly present her as soon as she has officially joined the project.

WHITE WOMAN'S WALLET will be a pressure cooker comedy, with our thematic and stylistic inspiration coming from films like GOOD TIME, MOTHER, and AFTER HOURS.

Good Time, dir. Josh and Benny Safdie

Mother, dir. Albert Brooks

After Hours, dir. Martin Scorsese

We are currently casting the film and aim to take advantage of our extensive network of filmmakers and actors to always have recognizable and accomplished people both in front of and behind the camera, making the most of the New Jersey based movie casts and crews that are so often overlooked or discounted when compared to neighboring New York, or Atlanta, Los Angeles, Toronto and Eastern Europe to maximize tax incentives and established infrastructure. As major companies like Netflix plant their flags in New Jersey for a foothold in the untapped arena we've already been playing and building in, there's no shortage of eager, accomplished, talented people who want to make movies but there is a dire shortage of support, resources and facilities.

We've taken it upon ourselves to remove as many pitfalls and limitations as possible, by hiring a crew that provides their own gear, shooting on location, and finishing the film in post-production ourselves - but funding remains elusive and unreliable. When we reach the funding goal in this campaign, we will begin production this summer and aim for a fall film festival run. Should we exceed our stated goal on Seed & Spark, we will expand the scope of the festivals we will submit the movie to, and will be able to allocate more resources to the vital post-production process, polishing the film to increase its reach and the warmth of its reception.

That's where you come in, to help give us the means by which we can execute our ideas and reach larger and larger audiences.

In exchange, we are offering on screen credit, and the rewards enumerated in the rest of our pitch, with an aim to offer return on investments in the future on further projects. Your pledges, shares on social media, and you spreading the word to your friends and family, via URL and IRL, are all vital pieces of this puzzle, and we are grateful to each and every person who is reading this for their time, consideration, and generosity.
