Mission Statement

Wild Bitch explores the connection between the destruction of nature and the oppression of women and the ways both will defend themselves when pushed to the brink. Kate and Rebekka poured their creativity and sick humor into this quirky love letter to unhinged ingenues and classic thrillers.

The Story

Hi! We're Kate Nash and Rebekka Johnson! We met while working on the Netflix series, GLOW. We bonded quickly when we were partnered in the wrestling ring during training. Glow was a rare opportunity to play female characters you don’t often get to see on television and it gave us a taste for more.

Whilst scrolling through YouTube videos one night, Kate came across an old news story clip that sparked an eerie idea.

She texted Rebekka and within roughly 6 minutes the entire plot of the movie was drafted (over text).

Several edits and 3 months later entrails, fake blood and taxidermy were ordered and stunts were choreographed.

During a low Covid window in Los Angeles, we brought together an amazing team to shoot the short over two long days in the woods.

Not only do we star in the film, but we decided to see our vision through and direct it ourselves. Masks were worn, laughs were had and a freaking film was made!

Your contribution will help us pay for production, post-production, film festival submissions and distributing the film. We plan to release Wild Bitch online after a whirlwind tour of the hottest festivals in the world. (2 girls can dream, right?) You can help us complete our vision (and global takeover) by following our campaign, sharing and supporting.

If you'd like to tell your pals about this we'd be delighted!
