The Story
ONCE UPON A TIME...
Witches! They are amongst us but their safety depends on their powers remaining a secret...
That's why it's such a big deal that 10 year old Parker—mysteriously orphaned as a toddler—is coming into her witch powers without having ever been taught what she is.
Enter Heather and her coven! After learning of Parker's precarious predicament, the Coven decide to go undercover in Parker's life, much to Heather's chagrin. You see, Heather went into hibernation 200 years ago after a Big Failure. But her coven have ripped her from her rest to get her help in protecting Parker.
Heather now finds herself teaching art at Parker's elementary school, dealing with suspicious fellow teachers and the...odd...Principal Finch.
And wouldn't you know it? Heather fails again. Parker accidentally does magic, and the classmate, Missy, who sees it? She's the daughter of one of the Coven members, who doesn't know her mom is a witch. Cue the coven performing a ritual of silence with Missy, to prevent her accidentally spilling Parker's secret and include her in the Parker Protection Plan.
Just as everything seems to be settling down, one of Heather's students surreptitiously posts a video of Heather's class on social media, potentially putting Parker in the crosshairs of whoever was involved with her parents' disappearance...!
WHY WITCHES?
I grew up watching reruns of the classic 1960s sitcom Bewitched and dreaming of being able to magick away life's problems. Also, I desperately wanted to be Samantha Stephens, or her cousin Selena. Of course, now I'm more like Endora, and I am not mad about it!
Lately, I've been wishing again for magic powers to magick away the many problems of the world. That's why I wrote WITCH AMISS, to create a magical, light-hearted distraction for myself, and, hopefully, for you!
WHERE WE ARE
We filmed the pilot episode for WITCH AMISS in early March, and had an absolute blast doing it!
Now, we're raising money to pay back our generous temporary funder, edit the footage, and take it to the festival circuit! Once we're done with the festivals we'll find a home for the WITCH AMISS pilot on a free streamer so that everyone can enjoy it. If we are fully funded before the end of the campaign we will add a stretch goal to raise money for filming episode 2!

Meghann is fulfilling her dream of being Endora from Bewitched with this project. After haunting the organ lofts of various churches as a pipe organist, she began making spooky electronic music. Her activities now include haunting the lenses of various cameras as an actor. 
Co-Executive Producer + Actor (Kristy): Kerri Evans
Kerri is an actor, writer, and teacher. She is a graduate of the Actor's Studio and the Drama Teacher at the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in NYC. 
Director + Producer + Actor (Jane): Artima Sakulkoo
Artima is a queer Thai filmmaker, actor, and storyteller based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work explores themes of identity, migration, and intimacy through personal, character-driven narratives.
