Hey, I'm Bianca!
San Francisco, California
Bianca Beyrouti (she/her) is a queer Bay Area-based indie filmmaker and producer with a decade’s worth of credits in the realms of narrative and documentary shorts and features. A firm believer in the power of film to promote empathy and justice in front of and behind the camera, Bianca is drawn to visual stories that shine on a light on the margins of representation and understanding - particularly for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and disabled communities.
She is best known as the former Associate Producer of the award-winning PBS documentary series Independent Lens. Her most noteworthy narrative producing credit is the indie feature Bring Me an Avocado, which won the audience award at its world premiere at Cinequest and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Google Play, YouTube Movies, and Tubi. Her other film credits have screened at such festivals as SFFilm, Frameline, OutFest, Palm Springs International, Napa Valley, and Vail. She has successfully crowdfunded three independent films - two of which were run on Seed&Spark and one of which (Bring Me an Avocado) placed as a finalist in their inaugural Hometown Heroes rally. She is currently in production on a documentary feature entitled Deconstruction (currently on Seed&Spark) and a documentary short entitled Women Who Ride (previously on Seed&Spark), in addition to developing a narrative feature with the support of Sundance Institute.
She is an active member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia and often serves as a panelist and film festival screener. Finally, she tries to write the occasional script when she can and hopes to move into the director’s chair herself someday.
