Hey, I'm Catherine!

I am an actor/writer/director/musician who moved to the midwest for love from NYC. I am also a teaching artist, and feel blessed to do the work I do. I have taught at the Vassar NY Stage & Film program, the Broadway Theatre Institute, and been a guest artist and performer nationally and internationally starting at a young age. I'm an NEA grant receipient for my feature length screenplay Parallel Chords and have been commissioned to write 3 other films. It's been a long journey but after directing a short version of the film, Parallel Chords (overture), which screened over 30 times nationally in festivals, (Won Best Short Film, Best Sound, Jury Award for Excellence in Music, Curator's Pick /Cash prize WIF Seattle) I completed the feature version of the film thanks to S&S! It won best cinematography, best production design, best narrative feature and was selected for the New Filmmaker's Forum/Emerging Director section in the St. Louis International Film Festival. I was also honored in Los Angeles with a "Best Feature Writer" award sponsored by the Writer's Guild of America West and Parallel Chords released theatrically in the second half of 2019.
The film can be found on most streaming platforms (Amazon, iTunes, tubi, etc..) and on Blu-ray, and DVD. I'm currently working on a series in St. Louis called "Broken Strings" and will likely use Seed & Spark once more. I love other filmmakers and it is important to me to support creatives making their own way.
