Hey, I'm Eva!
Eva, originally from California has enjoyed a ten-year career as an editor in which she honed her skills in storytelling and pace. She is drawn to stories that pull back a veil to reveal the humanity that can get lost in rhetoric or ideology. THE STAND, Eva’s award winning film was featured in the March 2017 edition of the American Cinematography Magazine and has screened at several festivals, with two wins at The Louisiana Film prize: The Top 5 and a $3,000 grant. This also led to a distribution deal through Shorts HD. The animated short Eva edited, THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE won an Academy Award in 2012 .A graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, Eva also spent two years at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in Los Angeles and started her editing career with classes taken at California State University at Northridge. Eva lives in New Orleans and states that her greatest achievement is single handedly raising her son who recently turned 18. "He's a good kid," she might add.
