Son of Korean Immigrant parents, born and raised in the Greater Los Angeles area, Jesse has experienced a diverse ranges of cultures throughout his youth that have inspired his storytelling. Inheriting his mother's love of movies from an early age, Jesse discovered his passion for filmmaking relatively late into his senior year of high school. He went on to attend as an undergraduate at USC's School of Cinematic Arts where he practiced all trades of the craft. During his time at USC, Jesse wrote and directed, THE FINAL DELIVERY (2016), a short about a disgraced pizza boy delivering one final pizza to save his job. The short recieved awards and nominations for Best Comedic Short from festivals such as the Asians on Film Festival and the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival. In his final semester at USC, Jesse co-directed a feature film, THE ADVENTURES OF THOMASINA SAWYER (2018), based on the Mark Twain novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The film was produced by USC and James Franco's Elysium Bandini. After graduating, Jesse has kept himself busy producing shorts such as WE LET IT HAPPEN (2017), a VR short funded by JAUNT VR and USC and working on larger projects at companies like CBS and Lucasfilm where he is currently employed. Jesse is prepping for a new short film, BEAM, that he plans to direct this coming March.
