Hey, I'm Johnny!

Los Angeles, California

Johnny Rome has a very specific worldview as a non-binary neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD, among others). While things may be challenging for them, very rarely are they deterred from doing everything they can to tell stories that have the potential of helping others feel less alone. As a Jack-of-all-trades in storytelling, Johnny remains focused on character-centric stories whether told through poetry, prose, or their filmography. From writing and directing award-winning films, like Cardboard Castles (2022) and Here Lies Lauren (2020), to producing projects that push non-binary representation, like Silhouette (TBD) and Clemmons & Clementine (TBD), Rome's style and skill continues to evolve. Still, one thing remains certain, their art is a reflection of everything important to them and sharing these stories is Johnny’s found life purpose.
