Hey, I'm Laura!
New York, New York
Laura Oberbeck is an NYC-based actor/creator originally from Missouri. She moved to New York to attend Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied experimental theater and worked on getting rid of her midwest accent (she no longer pronounces "pillow" "pellow.") Laura wrote and performed a 50-minute solo show titled "LAURA." The performance was staged at The PIT, NY Winterfest, and to sold-out crowds at Annoyance Theater NY. She has been featured on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Chris Gethard Presents, and in the NYC marathon where she ran the whole thing in 4 hours and 10 min. Her upcoming short film, "Mr. Oberbeck" is a piece about dead dads and how we remember people when they're gone. It's a comedy!
