Hey, I'm Nick!
Saint Anthony, Minnesota
I was born and raised in Worthington, MN just north of Iowa. I attended Saint John’s University in Central Minnesota during Jr. High and loved it so much I stayed there until I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During my junior year at Saint Johns I was selected for a study abroad program, to Madrid, Spain.
After college, I relocated to the Twin Cities, and attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor degree. I was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in 1999, and entered private practice, at a small firm in Saint Paul, where I specialized in business / transactional law and litigation. For the last 4 years I have been with a large law firm in Minneapolis, where I currently serve as the Director of Sourcing & Vendor Management .
When I'm not in the office, you’ll likely see me with a camera in hand. Photography is one of my creative outlets. I am an award-winning photographer, who enjoys shooting everything from...
LANDSCAPES...like Lake Superior's north shore in Winter.
NATURE SCENES... (Lake Superior in February)
and more recently... portraits and stills from various movie sets.
Like this shot, taken on Minneapolis' very own Stone Arch bridge as USMC veteran Amber Patton directs and ARMY Veteran Mark Bitner runs the camera. Amber not only acted in this film but was awarded "Best Director of a Short Film" at the Frozen Film Festival in St. Paul as well!
My love for movies dates back more than 30 years. When I had the opportunity to help out on the set of a short film, about 8 years ago, my passion for movies evolved from watching them, to wanting to actually make them. In my spare time, I have produced or executive produced several short films, including:
