Hey, I'm Ricky!

Durham, North Carolina

I am a lifelong lover of documentary film and now is an emerging filmmaker in my own right. I attended St. Augustine University of Raleigh NC and majored in Communications. Currently I'm working towards a Certificate in Documentary Arts from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.

 

A loving husband and father, I have waited nearly 25 years to tell a story of events that will capture the hearts of many. In the process, I've been able to sit at the round table and be a voice for the people as well as suggest resolutions to resolve issues related inequality and racism that created tensions that has now exploded to violence in many of our communities across the states.


As an independent documentary filmmaker my current work is titled "Black Beach/White Beach- A Tale of Two Beaches", A film meant to bring awareness and education to the community on systemic racism and inequality that exist in Myrtle Beach S.C.
