The CAMERAderie Initiative is a platform to support the emerging voices, creative talents, and untapped potential of Women in Media (WiM) members. Writer/Director CAMERAderie Finalists are building their teams from the WiM membership (70%+ women, women-identifying and gender nonconforming crews!), have support, mentorship, education, and training from initiative producers and industry professionals in each department, and access to in-kind donations and prizes including gear, production insurance, permits, and more.The goal is a safe and successful production in August of 2021, followed by two months of post production, culminating in screenings and a festival run thereafter. Women In Media promotes gender balance in the film and entertainment industries through networking, professional development, and advocacy for women, women-identifying, and gender-nonconforming filmmakers who work above and below the line and the people who love to collaborate with them.
