I’LL BE AROUND is the third feature film by underground filmmaker Michael Cuenca. It is an ambitious project showcasing crisscrossing vignettes involving dozens and dozens of individuals attending the first day of a small post-punk music festival. The film follows bands, fans, roadies, attendees, and everyone else in between getting caught up in musician drama, relationship issues, and dealing with generational angst.

I’LL BE AROUND is fiscally sponsored by THE FILM COLLABORATIVE, a 501(c)3 organization. ALL donations are tax deductible.

SO WHERE DOES YOUR CONTRIBUTION GO?

Our budget breakdowns!

We have the film budgeted at $100k, $250k, and our dream budget is $500k (which STILL isn't even considered a "low-budget film" by Hollywood's standards!). We can make this movie for $100,000 (seriously, watch Michael's past work) but that is going to be extremely difficult. We have set our bar on Seed&Spark to $10,000 to make sure we have a successful campaign, since we have to raise at least 80% of our goal, and to show that there's interest in the film. So any word-of-mouth, reposts, etc. will go a long way. Know folks (doctors, dentists, vets, realtors, real estate investors) that need a tax break? Refer them to our project!

We have a cast of a hundred characters. We're featuring bands in the film. We need to hire the best actors possible (including some possible name talent), hire extras, we need to pay our crew (DP, lighting, art department, wardrobe, hair and make-up, assisstants), we need to feed everybody, we need to lock locations,  secure props, and the more money we raise, the more we can include songs from popular punk/post-punk recording artists.  A lot of us also have to take a leave of abscence from our day and night jobs (luckily some of us work in the service industry and can pick-up or let-go of shifts easily) and we still need to cover living expenses.

And lastly, we still have to think of all the post-production costs (cutting, coloring, sound mixing, etc.). We have publicity to cover, theater rental charges for screenings, legalities, and production insurance. And we need to hire people to handle all those things.

Every single one of your pennies will help realize our vision. Just imagine... if 500,000 people are inspired to donate just one dollar then our dream will come true.

We don't keep all the money we raise on Seed&Spark!

Seed&Spark take a 5% fee from successful campaigns. The Film Collaborative also takes a 5% admin fee from each donation plus have a 2.2% credit card processing fee with a charge of $0.30 for each transaction.

In accordance with IRS regulations, TFC issues tax receipts for all donations of $250 and over Seed&Spark will take their fee and the credit card processing fee out before TFC receives the funds. TFC issues tax receipts on the amount they receive.
