Is That All? is a dreamy, fast-paced dark comedy exploring celebrity culture, taking place on a singular night out. When a NYC party girl and an A-List actor meet at a club, feelings are complicated by the realities of fame and power. What is genuine when detachment is expected?

Mission Statement

Our mission is to present a raw, sympathetic view of life within celebrity culture. In the age of social media, influencers and tabloids, celebrities hold a unique power over us. This film examines what happens when that power collides with real emotion and intimacy.

The Story

Sav, a NYC it-girl, arrives at her favorite downtown club. Inside, Taylor Young, an A-list actor spots her. Their connection is immediate, and soon Sav and her friends are invited back to his penthouse. As the night goes on, the group drifts away until it’s just Sav and Taylor. For a moment, it feels like something real.

The next morning, Taylor’s agent storms in. Taylor rushes out, and Sav is left alone, realizing the night was not a beginning — just another fleeting moment in the world she moves through.

We want this story to feel grounded and familiar: For every girl who goes home with a guy, wondering whether it was real or just the performance of intimacy. A lot can happen in one night out. But what's left the next morning, when the excitement fades and you're alone with your thoughts? Was that it? Is that all?

This film captures the rush of being seen, the imbalance beneath it, and the quiet emptiness that follows.

Tonally, this film is stylized realism. Our story takes place over the course of a single night, with our lead character, Sav, driving the narrative forward. We blend dreamy, intoxicating nightlife aesthetic with grounded, raw performances and emotion. Observational and unfiltered, the film sits at the intersection of Anora, The Bling Ring, and the chaotic naturalism of the Safdie brothers’ Uncut Gems and Good Time

Our main character, Sav, is a party girl who thrives in the nightlife scene. Her connections are built on convenience, upward mobility, and self-interest. She wants to be desired by everyone but fears true vulnerability. Uncharacteristically, she allows herself to get swept up in the fantasy of her connection with Taylor. When it collapses, she's left feeling exactly what she tries to avoid: empty and disposable.

Taylor Young is a very famous actor who moves through life with effortless charm and detachment — someone used to getting whatever, and whoever, he wants without ever having to try. Taylor is tender, cold, sincere, performative, controlled and erratic. When he notices Sav, the question becomes — is it desire, boredom, or something real?

The tension is that it might be all three.

We are already half way funded and are raising the remaining funds to complete the film. We are fully in pre-production, with all of our department heads attached and a majority of our crew planning on shooting late March! This money will be used to properly pay our cast and crew and to cover essential production costs, including equipment and locations. Your donations will go directly to payment of our emerging, talented crew of creative peers. Many of us have been working together since college, growing together as artists, and this film is an extension of that shared trust and collaboration.

We will eventually be sharing this film online, but also plan to have opportunities for in-person private screenings and festivals!

If we exceed our goal, additional funds will go towards post-production costs, including sound, score, color-grading, and festival submissions. Exceeding our goal will even help us with renting a theater for a private screening in NYC for our cast, crew, and generous supporters!
