Mission Statement

This story illuminates the quiet, invisible battles fought by immigrant women in oppressive domestic spaces—stories often hidden behind closed doors and cultural expectations. It confronts cycles of control, isolation, and survival, asking what freedom looks like when escape seems impossible.

Kunal Arora (Co-Writer / Producer) is a New York-based comedian that should definitely be on your radar. He made his first national TV appearance on Laughs on FOX in 2015, and has been on the rise ever since. After making almost a dozen appearances on Laughs on Fox, he was seen on SeeSo’s New York’s Funniest. TruTV’s Late Night Snack 

His first full nationally televised comedy set for Gotham Comedy Live aired on AXS TV February 2017. His set on SeeSo’s The Guest List aired on June 2017. Kunal released his first comedy album, Draw 4 in 2020. His first special, Tales from a New Yorker aired on December 2025.




Dini Parayitam (Co-Writer / Producer) is an Indian-American writer based in Iowa City. She holds an MFA in Fiction Writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop (2014). While working on her debut novel, she turned to screenwriting for a chance to collaborate with other passionate artists. She wrote/produced short films “All Your Yesterdays” and “How Do You Like Your Eggs”, both were selected at Oscar-qualifying film festivals. She was also named on the inaugural The Salon x The Blacklist’s Desi List for the feature Mouna Tharangam (A Silent Wave), co-written with Jerika Marchan, to be directed by Sachin Dheeraj Mudigonda (Men in Blue). With the same team, she has also co-written the feature screenplay Mano Prapancham (The World Within). Her features have been awarded AFS Grants, SFFILM Rainin Grant, selected for Sundance Second-Round, and competed as finalist in AT&T Tribeca’s Untold Stories. 



Dina Vovsi (Director/Co-Writer/Producer) is a New York-based multidisciplinary director. She is a 2025-2026 Resident Artist at the cell, a 2026 New Georges Audrey Resident and a co-facilitator of the 2024-2026 New Georges Jam. She has received grants from NYSCA, Brooklyn Arts Council, and the Puffin Foundation for her work. Dina has directed and developed new work with WP Theater, The Civilians, New Georges, Working Theater, Cape Cod Theatre Project, The Orchard Project, New Dramatists, The Bushwick Starr, and more. She is a New Georges Affiliated Artist and an alum of the The Drama League Directors’ Project, WP Directors’ Lab, the Roundabout Directors Group, the Mercury Store, the Robert Moss Directing Fellowship at Playwrights Horizons, The Civilians’ R&D Group, the Lincoln Center Directors’ Lab, and the SDC Foundation Observership. As an associate/assistant director, Dina has worked on Broadway, off-Broadway, and regionally with Roundabout, Playwrights Horizons, Spoleto Festival USA, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and more. A frequent guest director at universities, Dina also teaches directing at Playwrights Horizons Theater School at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and acting at Brooklyn College's MFA Acting Graduate Program. www.dinavovsi.com
