The Story

If you were given the chance to go back to a pivotal time in your life and talk to your younger self, what would you do? What would you change?
This is a special film for our cast and crew - it addresses so many ideas that we are curious about ourselves.
REVERIE explores the ideas of regret, acceptance, and healing through a sci-fi lens. Come on this journey of literal self-discovery with Imogen!
The script for REVERIE has been recognized at multiple film festivals already, including Miami Internations Science Fiction Film Festival, New York Science Fiction and Horror Film Festival, Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival, Deep in the Heart Film Festival, and Lake Travis Film Festival. We are excited to bring the film to life!

This short film takes place in two different time periods - the future and the past. Because of this, we are taking advantage of the creative opportunity to create a mid-century modern digital futuristic look for the future and a grungy early 2000's look for the past. There will be a juxtaposition between the neon/bright colors of the future and the muted/dark colors of the past.

Our team is made up of wonderful experienced indie filmmakers and actors that all connect to the emotional resonance of the film. Our crew is primarily made up of women and our cast is 100% women! More importantly, this team is 100% talented and enthusiastic.

We will be shooting in late December with a lean cast and crew to be as efficient and agile as possible and make sure we stay safe and healthy. We will shoot for 3 days with a maximum of 8 hour days.
Our producer, Elena Weinberg, is a COVIDE compliance officer, and we’ll be monitoring to adhere to local covid guidelines.
We want to make sure our production is as eco-friendly as possible. We are committing to digital scripts and call sheets, low impact craft services, and any other eco-friendly strategies we can implement.
Our budget will be split between cast/crew, locations, props/costume, and craft services. Crowdfunding will help support us as independent artists to create a special film.

This campaign will take us all the way from production through post production. Our goal is to have a finished film by Summer 2023!
After that, we will be submitting to a variety of film festivals to share the film. Beyond the festival run, we will be sharing the finished film with everyone by releasing it digitally.
We hope that you will be a part of making this film a reality. Share the word with your network so that we can connect with as large an audience as possible. A follow or a share will help just as a contribution will!
