SEEN
A Psychological Thriller
The Premise
Dr. Mira Lin is a respected San Francisco psychologist known for her calm precision. When a short clip of her therapy advice unexpectedly goes viral, her following grows overnight. Invitations, interviews, and opportunities flood in. For the first time, Mira feels fully seen.
But as her audience expands, something begins to shift.
Strangers repeat her words back to her with uncanny familiarity. Clients reference phrases she doesn’t remember saying. Old videos appear online with subtle changes. The version of herself her audience consumes begins to feel more stable than the woman behind it.
As admiration turns unsettling, Mira must confront a terrifying possibility: that she is no longer shaping her identity — her audience is.
Why This Story Now?
We live in an era of constant visibility.
Advice becomes content. Vulnerability becomes branding. Identity becomes negotiable.
SEEN explores the psychological cost of influence in a hyper-visible world. It asks:
What happens when you are consumed by the people who claim to see you?
Who owns your identity once it becomes public?
How do you stay intact when projection becomes currency?
Tone & Style
SEEN is a slow-burn, A24-style psychological thriller.
The horror is subtle and intimate.
It lives in repetition, silence, and the discomfort of being mirrored too precisely.
Visually, the film will lean into:
Controlled framing
Quiet interiors
Gradual tonal shifts
Minimal score
Psychological tension over spectacle
This is character-driven suspense: restrained, elegant, and unsettling.

By backing SEEN, you are supporting a multidimensional AAPI lead in a genre that rarely centers women like her — complex, controlled, and quietly unraveling.
The Vision
SEEN is a thriller about projection and performance, but it is also about survival in a world that rewards composure.
It asks what happens when the self you perform becomes the only self the world allows you to be.
And what it costs to reclaim your voice once it has been consumed.
