Mission Statement
The Story
This film tells the story of Jason, a college basketball star that's pushed to stand up for social justice by his best friend Malkia. But Jason, coming from a broken home and poor inner-city school system, fears that due to his lack of knowledge he'd do more harm than good. Meanwhile, Malkia's world is turned upside down when a police officer begins a new initiative at her local rec center, giving the two of them no choice but to have dialogue.
Cast
Why Us?
As former collegiate athletes ourselves we understand the unique pressures placed upon these young athletes shoulders. And having people we personally know who've been incarcerated as well as knowing police officers, we can bring an honest and nuanced conversation to a topic that's so often been seen from one side.
Why Now?
This film comes at a time when the social issues of our country have settled to a period where we believe people are ready to have a serious dialogue that can lead to better understanding all around. We believe that this film can help to push that dialogue. And with your help, that conversation starts now.

Where's the Money Going?
All money will go directly to the project itself, not our pockets. We're using our own money to fund this film, and could use help with equipment rentals, transportation costs for cast and crew, props, special locations, wardrobe, and food options. We already have what we need to pay our amazing cast and crew, but we could use some help offsetting costs for other things. And if we go over $10,000 we'll have funds to help our cast and crew even more with transportation and lodging costs.
