Karlee Boon is an independent filmmaker passionate about female-centric stories and carving out a space for fellow women and queer folks in the industry, particularly within the horror and comedy genres.
Since her move to PDX in 2017, Karlee has worked as a production assistant on a handful of productions ranging from commercials, television, and films including Michael Sarnoski's PIG (2021). She has also spearheaded many of her own creative projects, producing the neo-giallo short film FANATICO (2018) and directing the '80s camp slasher CAMP CALYPSO (2020) while completing a degree at Portland State.
Karlee received her B.A. in Film in March 2021 and is currently in pre-production for her newest film, the coming-of-age horror short NIGHT SHIFT.
