Mission Statement

This project exists to build a prestige female-led sci-fi universe where women are not side characters, love interests, or derivatives, but the emotional and mythological center of an original epic. The Sureiya Hayes Universe blends action, intimacy, psychological tension, at franchise scale.

The Story

The Sureiya Hayes Universe is a prestige sci-fi world shaped by political power, underground fragment trade, emotional instability, and a cosmic force known as Emperion, an unknowable phenomenon tied to memory, interference, and catastrophic consequence. It was set in motion when Sureiya survived the destruction of her world, an event followed by mass casualties, unsettling whispers, and a growing connection to forces she cannot fully understand.

As the larger conflict unfolds, Sureiya becomes a rogue former elite asset moving through dangerous underground spaces shaped by fragment technology, hidden agendas, and survival. While others see her as dangerous or destabilizing, she is privately trying to understand why catastrophe keeps finding her and why her connection to Emperion continues to deepen.

When Veronica Ryn, a feared operative sent to eliminate her, enters the picture, the story shifts from pursuit to obsession. What begins as a hunt evolves into a dangerous emotional and psychological collision involving political manipulation, fragment instability, and a connection neither woman fully understands or can resist.

The Eidolon Plane takes place after that collision, when that connection is tested. When Veronica is left suspended between life and death, Sureiya enters the mysterious Eidolon Plane, a liminal realm where memory, truth, and emotional suppression are weaponized against her. What begins as a rescue becomes a confrontation with everything she has refused to face, including the terrifying depth of what Veronica truly means to her.

The first proof-of-concept chapter of Sureiya: The Eidolon Plane earned creator and lead actress Shervonne Brown the Best Actress award at the 2026 WSO Theatre & Film Festival, where the project also received nominations for Best Director, Best Film, and Best Short Film. The film later continued its run as an Official Selection of the New York Short Film Festival while laying the foundation for the next phase of The Sureiya Hayes Universe.

The Sureiya Hayes Universe is designed as a long-form prestige sci-fi franchise blending tactical action, serialized mystery, psychological tension, and emotionally driven cosmic mythology through women positioned at the center of epic-scale storytelling.

This project comes from my own journey as an actor and creator who rarely saw women like me positioned at the center of large-scale sci-fi, fantasy, and action storytelling and decided to build that space myself.

The funds will go directly toward completing the next phase of Sureiya: The Eidolon Plane. This includes post-production, visual effects, and additional filming needed for expansion.

About This Team

Shervonne Brown (Sureiya Hayes)

Shervonne Brown is an American filmmaker, actress, and vocalist known for her work in high-concept sci-fi and tactical action. She is the creator, writer, director, and lead of Sureiya: The Eidolon Plane (2026), a character-driven sci-fi short film that introduces her original character Sureiya Hayes, the central protagonist in The Sureiya Hayes Universe: Legends of Emperion, an expanding speculative sci-fi franchise blending psychological drama, serialized mystery, tactical action, and mythic emotional stakes. Recognized for her signature vibrant red hair and a visual aesthetic influenced by anime and cinematic storytelling, Brown gravitates toward formidable protagonists navigating power, restraint, identity, intimacy, and moral consequence within expansive sci-fi and genre narratives.

Driven by a passion for emotionally charged prestige genre storytelling, Brown created The Sureiya Hayes Universe as a prestige live-action science fiction property centered on a female protagonist within large-scale cinematic fantasy and serialized genre storytelling. The universe explores emotional suppression, trauma, desire, political manipulation, and cosmic mythology through women whose emotional lives function as destabilizing forces capable of reshaping worlds.

In 2026, Brown won Best Actress at the WSO Theatre & Film Festival for her performance in Sureiya: The Eidolon Plane, which also received nominations for Best Director, Best Film, and Best Short Film. The project continued its festival run as an Official Selection of the New York Short Film Festival while serving as the proof-of-concept foundation for a larger interconnected universe spanning film, television, publishing, and future interactive media expansion.

A multilingual performer with working proficiency in Japanese and Korean, Brown’s background in action began with her original character project Zxamieya Warrior Princess, which she created, edited, and starred in. She has trained professionally in New York City and Maryland, specializing in on-camera performance and tactical combat choreography. Her work centers on physically grounded, emotionally complex female protagonists within contemporary genre cinema.

Before transitioning into narrative filmmaking, Brown built an international presence as a vocalist and producer. Her digital releases amassed hundreds of thousands of views and led to appearances on platforms including Mnet’s Hashtag My K-Pop. She was a member of the K-pop-inspired group Coco Avenue and later co-founded the duo Double The Fire. Brown earned the Grand Prize in the KCC K-Pop Video Contest for three consecutive years across multiple projects and represented the United States at the K-Pop World Festival in South Korea, where her performance aired internationally on Korean Broadcasting System.

Her stage work includes performances at the Howard Theatre and appearances in major live events such as the Obama Inauguration Celebration and Christmas in Washington, where she shared the stage with artists including Beyoncé and John Legend. Her theater credits include productions of Dreamgirls and Ragtime. Based in the United States, Brown continues to develop original genre-driven film and television projects, with a focus on emotionally driven prestige sci-fi storytelling and long-form franchise world-building.

Cameron Moser (Kai)

Cameron Moser is a New York based actor and singer. A Texas native, he initially starred in several community theatre productions before moving to NYC to attend the Circle in the Square Theatre School. Since then, Cameron has appeared in several cabarets and has performed in many new works on stage and off. Recent favorite have included, Sing With Me: A New Musical, M For Marriage, as well as Twelfth Night, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Ragtime, and Spamalot. He can also be seen later this year in the premiere productions of McMusical and Forget I Said Anything. Cameron can also be seen on camera in the History Channel’s Foods That Built America.

In The Sureiya Hayes Universe, Cameron portrays Kai, the emotional compass of the team and the one person who refuses to let Sureiya hide behind control. Where others follow her lead, Kai challenges it, pushing her to confront the cost of her decisions and the truth she avoids. His presence disrupts her precision, forcing her to choose between logic and feeling. That conflict becomes central as the stakes escalate and the lines between duty, survival, and love begin to blur.
