Mission Statement
The Story
"A man turns to a sinister time travel ritual in order to prevent a traumatic event from ruining his life he knows as THE DREAD. However, with each phase of the ritual completed, he realizes he may be more responsible for this Dread than he once believed."
In The Dread we follow Jonah as he sacrifices what he has left of his crumbling life to perform a sinister blood ritual in order to go back to the moment where all of his pain originated. Motivated by forces that feed off his vulnerability, Jonah must contend with the humanity of those he’s lost throughout his life, as his own humanity begins to rot at the cost of his goal.
The ultimate “road to hell is paved with good intentions” tale with an examination of young men’s primal anger being weaponized against their own self-interest.
Okay, so why THE DREAD?
What's so important about making this film right now?
We live in a time where everyone has the ability to communicate with anyone, anywhere, about anything and yet its becoming more and more difficult for us to communicate with each other on just a basic human level.
Why have a difficult conversation with someone when you could just ghost them instead?
Why be open to changing your mind when you can surround yourself with those that refuse to change theirs?
Why change your mind at all when you know beyond a shadow of a doubt... that you're right?
The Dread is about a young man who believes with every fiber of his being that no one understands him. So much so that's he's willing to turn to a clearly evil ritual in order to prove them wrong. It's only when he sits down with the people throughout his life and sees things from their perspective, that he begins to change his own.
I believe in our ability to change, to lead with empathy rather than fear and anger. To actually be able to sit down and listen to each other's perspective so that we may be able to change our own.
Where is my contribution going?
Any contribution you’re able to make will be immeasurable in ensuring that we have every location, every piece of gear and above all else, supporting our crew we already have in place detailed on our TEAM page.
However, along with our behind the scenes crew, your contributions will also be supporting our incredible CAST who will be breathing life into the characters of our film.

Gear rentals secured for our shooting dates.
Flights and accommodations secured for any cast and crew coming from out of state.
Props and wardrobe manufacturing.
JULY/AUGUST - PRODUCTION

Our first assembly cut will be finished by November with the score being worked on simultaneously.
Throughout our entire production, we will have updates that can be found on our campaign page as well as bi-weekly production zoom meetings where we'll give those who contributed to the accessible levels a behind the scenes glimpse into the film's immediate status.
What if I'm unable to contribute?
If you've been keeping up with the news lately, we're living through some "precarious" times to say the least and thus we completely understand if you're unable to let go of anything right now.

"Having lost my father at sixteen, I was very confused as to what a “Man” was supposed to be, encountering countless examples of “Masculinity” and “strength”, with no one seeming to understand my sensitivities and why I couldn’t live up to that version of a “Man”. The stigma for men around me to “speak with their actions” rather than with their words was an emotional contrast between me and my environment that I feared I would never be able to truly reconcile.
However, it was my mother who took on the responsibility of raising six children by herself, along with the vast array of dear friends and role models of women in my life who’ve believed in the power of empathy and understanding, as well as my fiancé, Evelyn, who’s proven that leading with patience, understanding and most importantly, Love, is what true strength is.
With The Dread, I want to be a role model for the young men that are lead to believe that they are “entitled” to whatever they want if they have the “strength” to take it. I want to show them the power of calming their anger and understanding that there are those in their lives with nothing but love for them, ready to prove what real strength is if they're willing to listen.”

About This Team
After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Film, Patrick has spent the previous eight years producing a number of independent short films while refining both his craft as a filmmaker, as well as gaining extensive experience in a number of roles in production.
Having become extremely familiar with the logistical process of producing a script, he’s incredibly confident in his abilities to carry this film through the production process to completion and ultimately a theatrical distribution.
With THE DREAD, this extensive experience would be applied to the same creative approach, taking full advantage of the resources inherently available to the team, as well as the vendor relationships that have been cultivated throughout the years.
