The Story
What Is Weekend Warriors?
Weekend Warriors is a half-hour dramedy set across New York City, following six best friends over one chaotic week leading up to a Kayeandre concert they've all been waiting for.
Dante promised the crew front row tickets but after secretly losing his job, he's been scrambling to hold it all together before anyone finds out. What no one knows is how he actually pulled it off. And that truth hits everyone all at once, at the concert.
Each friend is at a turning point:
Trey is stuck between two women and avoiding the one conversation that could change everything. Malik is struggling to be honest about who he is with the people closest to him. Monique is chasing a major career win while an ex threatens to pull her backwards. Jasmine is finally stepping into her moment but risks missing it by putting everyone else first. Renee is the glue of the group, quietly realizing it might be time to choose herself. Dante is doing everything he can to hold it all together before it falls apart.
Seven days. Six friends. One city. One moment that changes everything.

Why We're Making It
New York City has always been a character in the stories told about it but too often it's used as backdrop. A skyline. A vibe. A shortcut.
Weekend Warriors exists to capture New York in its truest form. Not just Brooklyn. Not just one neighborhood or one aesthetic the whole city. Its energy, its contradictions, the way it shapes people and the way people shape each other inside it. This is a show built for everyone who grew up here, who knows what it actually feels like to live here, and who has never quite seen that life reflected back on screen the way it deserves.
This story is also deeply personal. Growing up in New York, the friendships, the group dynamics, the way your people hold you together while you're all falling apart at the same time that's not just a premise. That's lived experience. Weekend Warriors is our attempt to honor that honestly, and to give it the prestige treatment it has always deserved.

Who We Are
Glenn Lynch — Executive Producer, Creator & Writer Glenn Lynch is a New York-bred writer, producer, and founder of Bodega Boys Entertainment LLC. A U.S. Air Force veteran and graduate of the New York Film Academy, Glenn built Weekend Warriors from a simple but urgent question: what does it look like when the everyday lives of POC New Yorkers get the prestige treatment? Not as backdrop — as the whole story. He brings full creative and logistical command to this project, from script through camera.

Aurea González — Director & Producer Aurea is a Bronx-born, Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate filmmaker and founder of Limitless Media Productions. Her background spans film, theater, acting, and media production, and her work is rooted in identity, resilience, and authentic storytelling. Credits include Highest 2 Lowest, Rebellious 8, and Inside the Black Box.
Victoria Paulin — Producer Victoria is an active producer with multiple projects currently in production, including Predictably Single, 93 'Til, and Neighborhood Pushers. She brings serious production infrastructure and a track record of getting ensemble-driven stories made.
