The Story
Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a writer. So I became one. At first I would write short stories and read them to my mom, but then I watched a movie that would change my life: Robert Rodriguez’s and Quentin Tarantino’s “From Dusk Till Dawn”. That’s when I realized I wanted to make movies.
While in college, I was part of a film group that would film a college inspired web series. At first I was just an actor, but then I was forced to get behind the camera one day. That’s the moment I was pushed to make my first short film. I was introduced to the camera, and I haven’t turned away since.
THE WOMAN WHO KNOWS is a script I wrote when my world began to fall apart. I had just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My body was chronically inflamed from my scalp to the ends of my toes, and there was and still is no cure.
However, I’m a writer and filmmaker. My job is to entertain an audience. So I wrote this script with a murder mystery in mind because that’s what got me through tough times, but I absolutely wanted to shine light on this chronic illness and how it affects mental health and relationships because it affected mine.
I hope that the feature film, THE WOMAN WHO KNOWS entertains as many people as possible, but I hope it also encourages people to have more compassion and understanding for those who are disabled or suffer from mental illness.
What will we do with the funds initially raised?
We’ll hire a casting director with the $1500 to find the supporting cast and day players.
With the remainder $3500, it will go towards securing the supporting talent and day players.

Alicia McClendon is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and actor and champions female driven and diverse storytelling. She'll play the protagonist in The Woman Who Knows as she has lived the story of the protagonist in terms of her health. Alicia has written, directed, and produced many short films from Killings of the Land to the proof of concept short film, The Woman Who Knows, which premiered at the Big Apple Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2024. Lastly, she is a martial artist and studies Wing Chun, BJJ, Kali, and JKD kickboxing while also taking an on camera scene study acting class under acting coach Jim Dougherty.

Geoff Ryan is filmmaker by craft, storyteller by heart, and seeker of truths through the art of fiction. As a writer/director his first feature film, 'Fray,' was called "superior" by the LA Times and won the Grand Jury Prize at Dances With Films. Ryan's latest film, 'Blood From Stone' was called a "genre-defying" film by Variety and currently has a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Ryan has also directed & shot commercials for Macy’s, Stetson, David’s Bridal, and more. His screenplay for Fray was selected for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science’s permanent library collection.

Keli Price is CEO and President of Price Productions. He executive produced the feature film Bandit, starring Josh Duhamel and Mel Gibson, which was number 1 on Apple TV for independent film and number 5 for all films on Apple TV in 2022. Price is currently executive producing the feature film, Hellfire, starring Stephen Lang, Harvey Keitel, and Dolph Lundgren.
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Omar Foster is a Jamaican-born Production Designer for film and television, recognized for his multidisciplinary background in Architecture, Construction Management, and Graphic Design. His five seasons as a Set Designer on The Walking Dead served as a formative training ground, leading to his role as Art Director on the acclaimed HBO series Lovecraft Country—a pivotal step in his evolution to Production Designer. Omar blends technical precision with narrative-driven design, bringing a collaborative spirit, strong work ethic, and deep respect for storytelling to every project.

The Story
